Bloomin' Tuesday...

Thanks Jean at http://msgreenthumbjean.blogspot.com/ !

Look!!! We received rain on Saturday and Sunday!!

The Lupine really doesn't like temperatures in the 90's much less triple digits.

The temperature in the greenhouse yesterday, see the mercury?

Regardless of the heat the gardens are hanging in there pretty well.

Fennel

Gomphrena

Hibiscus--Painted Lady

Platycodon grandiflorus--Balloon Flower

Zinnia--Green Envy with a disfigured center..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today I am thankful for the rain we received over the weekend!
I'm so happy you got your much needed rain! Your blooms look very pretty regardless of the heat. We've been having a lot of hot weather too and I've been watering every day.
So far my garden is holding its own, too.
Yay, we both had some much needed rain this weekend! We're expecting temps close to 100 later in the week. :( Pretty blooms, you can tell which ones love the heat huh? ;)
Yay for the rain! I've used up both rain barrels from the little bit we got last week. Having to haul around the hose in the back garden is getting old. But, you seem to have some heat-loving blooms. Hopefully, that lupine will perk up.
Rain is good! Wish we got some, watched the weather radar--two storm cells, one went to the west of us and the other.....yes, went to the east of us!
Can't believe how hot your greenhouse temp was....ew.
Darla Dear, I'm so glad you got that much-needed rain or "Free Water" as my husband calls it. What a gorgeous Hibiscus! Looks like you need to invest in a shade cloth for your greenhouse. Love the Gomphrena and the funky Green Envy.
Glad to hear you got some much needed rain. The temps have been terrible for so early but this has been a wild year so far. The Painted Lady Hibiscus is just gorgeous.
Glad you got rain Darla. We keep having it predicted, but nothing happens. We are in extreme drought conditions down here. In spite of the heat, you've got some sweet bloomers. I really like the green zinnia with its' smiling center.
Have a great week.
I am so happy to hear that you finally got some rain. What a unique zinnia. I love the green color. I think I tried to grow that one from seed last year, but had no luck.
Wow, no wonder you are thankful for the rain Darla ~ after temperatures like those. We hit 90 two days in a row and are headed back down the the 70's. It's been a cool spring this year.
Your garden looks great tho ~ I think you must have discovered all the heat lovers and planted them!
P.S. I CAN'T believe you've never been on a garden tour!!!! I guess I thought everybody loved them like I do. You should try it sometime. :-)
We are in a heat wave here and no rain in site, but that is North East Arkansas. To bad we couldn't save some of that flood water.
Darla I'm still waiting on some rain. Love the green zinnia. How often are you watering your gardens.
Amazing what you produce in that aweful heat. Is that Aloe next flanking your gorgeous Rose Bush? The blooms are so tall. I'm do Envy that Green Zinnia and all it's character. Too cool you got rain. Did it help to cool the air some?
Thanks always, for stopping by and being so kind.
I know you are happy about that rain! Now you can have a short break from watering :) I love the Green Envy, I forgot to pick some seeds up, but your post reminded me to get them. I love the Hibiscus!
I was by our back fence and saw some color on the other side of the fence (the school yard). It was a pink lupine that must have reseeded from the one that had grown in my yard a couple of years ago. I hope yours reseeds for you.
