Today I am Thankful that my son spent Tuesday night with us at home. His girlfriend was killed in an automobile accident yesterday morning. If he had not randomly showed up at home on Tuesday evening and been invited to stay the night, he would have been with her. Divine intervention. Thank you Lord.

Sorry about the sadness of your son's friend, wishing you all comfort. I like how you reused the picture canvas. I just bought a picture for the frame and was going to toss the not so attractive pic when my husband said why not just paint over it like the old artist use to do. I dabble in painting and think that is such a good idea, your projects are cute! Happy Gardening ~ Jacque

My heart is breaking for your son. I'm so sorry to hear about that. Gosh girl you are getting so creative there. I need you to send me some of that energy. Gorgeous pieces. That first one I thought that well nothing wrong with that picture but wah-la - it looks nice. I bet I can find some junk to get my juices flowing. Thanks for the inspiration.

OH MY GOSH! So sad and sorry about his girlfriend. But so thankful that he was not with her.
Love your crafts!
Did I tell you I have a block wall, too? I do! And I got the idea from you. Thank you! I love it. But it will have to be moved to a spot that gets evening shade. It just dries out too fast. I'll be posting pics of it soon.

I'm so sorry about your son's girlfriend Darla. I read about that accident in the paper and it is heartbreaking. I'm glad he was not in that car and that he is safe. I know you must be hugging him extra tight these days.

I'm sorry to hear about your son's girlfriend, but I'm glad he's safe. I think Divine Intervention is the best way to describe why he was with you instead of her that night.
Each time I see it I'm reminded of how much I like your block wall planter.

The Lord did intervene but it is still so very sad for your son to go through something so horrible. Give him my prayers for time. If he is as strong as you are, he will find his way.
Your wonderful bench by the Impatiens and Coleus looks like a perfect place to find peace.

Oh, man, Darla! Your son has experienced another trauma that I know of, when he was hurt by those intruders, and now this tragedy. Poor guy! Well, God says He will cause good to come from all things. I pray for your son to recognize it when it comes, and is able to heal from his losses.

I continue to be amazed with your creativity! Great job on your projects! Your blooms are looking great, too. How cool that you got coleus to grow from seed. Did you start it inside?

Darla,

I'm so sorry to hear about your son's girlfriend. It's never easy for a loved one to pass away especially when taken so suddenly. I lost a good friend in college to a car accident and it was one of the hardest things to go through. My thoughts and prayers will be with your son and family.

I am sure grateful that he was not in the car--Something similar happened to my family and it was God's miracle that my son is alive too...It happened when he was in high school.

Sending (((hugs))) your way,
Cindy

So sorry about your son's girlfriend. I know that you must be hurting for the loss while rejoicing at the same time that he is still with you.

I enjoyed seeing the progress of the block garden. It's looking superb. I think I could use that "psycho path" sign for My Garden Path. You selling?

The most appropriate bench that fits your landscape design, doesn't cost much, stands for long and is comfortable to use. These are a lot of requirements.
