I love your quotations in the header, and that celosia - one plant! - is stunning :)

Hi Darla... you posted on my blog with the names of ginger.. thank you so much. I'm new to this tropical flower gardening.. I'm a northerner and it's so different down here.
Your garden is just wonderful and the Firespike again is one that I did not know the name too. My two bushes are just so large this year and I have many humming birds and butterflys.. I love it!
Thanks so much for your visit...
Sandy

Love the Mexican Bush Sage and the celosia. I was wondering how many plants, then I read the next sentence and you answered my question!

I bet you will be glad when the big day is over.

Thanks for showing your firespike. Mine obviously doesn't like living in MS.

I was wondering how soon for the Big Day! I am so excited for your family and have enjoyed following along with the ride. Can’t wait to see the pictures of those beautiful (human) flowers...

Today I am thankful for the entertainment my kitties are giving me while sitting in an open window!

Darla, the hibiscus photo is amazing! Oh, and weddings, yes, they are a LOT of work!! Will they be having their wedding photography in your gorgeous garden? I can't think of any place more beautiful and with the bonus addition of precious memories.

Oh I am so excited for you and your family, Darla. Your daughter is just so gorgeous. Are they getting married in your beautiful yard????

Beautiful flowers still blooming down there... I love the Skullcap--and the way you have it displayed using that old chair.

Have a beautiful week.
Hugs,
Betsy

Delightful blooms, Darla! I'm certain you're so busy...I'm not sure how you had the time to relax and take some photos (although your garden is probably a wonderful escape from the duties right now). I LOVE the firespike nestled in the chair. Great picture!

A couple of your plants really intrigue me, Darla Dear. First the Celosis is magnificent! Love it. Then there's the Firespike. I think Meems from Hoe & Shovel wrote about it recently. And the Skullcap--very nice. I wonder if you know the botanical name for it. Is it a species of Scutellaria?

I found your blog through Bloomin' Tuesday. I am always happy to find other Florida gardeners and see what's growing in their yards. Great pictures!

Love the purple coneflower. I just started some seeds of it, hoping it will also do well in my zone10 garden. Best wish for your wedding planning!

After seeing these pictures it kindamakes me realize that we may be in the 90's this week in Lexington, KY but the plants are realizing it is fall. You have so many blooms still and we really do not. The only thing I have blooming are my Hosta's which just keep blooming and blooming I guess because of the heat. I guess I have some tropicals that are still blooming too.

Your plants are beautiful! It's been too hot and I've lost my momentum for watering! So mine look awful!
Thanks for stopping by! You're the only one who commented on the surround! Yes, I darkened it. I just used a walnut stain but it needs to go darker. I'm waiting for cooler weather!

I've never seen celosia get that big before. You must be feeding with some 'Superplant' stuff. You still have some good looking plants and flowers. Love the new header. Where did you find the table linens? I know you'll be thrilled when this is over and happy to welcome the newest member.

Hi Darla - thanks for your visit to my blog! Love the Zinnia, glad it self-seeded for you. Impressed by Butterfly bush - not long and you'll be fighting to keep it in check! All the best for the wedding.
