It's been busy around here this last week and weekend, it doesn't appear to be slowing down this next week either.

Jane Cowell Hibiscus
Golden Shrimp Plant
Hummingbird coming in for a landing..

I was very pleased to see the Monarch Caterpillars back this year even if they are a little later than last year. See the Milkweek Aphids? I just let them do their thing to..
Also munching on the Milkweed plants are these interesting caterpillars, anyone know who or what they are...I just left them alone too.
Udate: Thanks Dave for IDing the Milkweed Tussock Moth Caterpillars!!

Today I am Thankful for my blogging friends that visit me even when I can't return the visit right away...

Hi, I think they may be the Milkweed tussock moth caterpillars in your last photo. They look a bit like woolly rugs don't they. Great shot of the hummingbird too.

Oh, my fav bird ... I love the hummers & then gold fiches.

Craziest thing. We had 4 feeders out back for years hanging in our trees. I decided the other day to bring them out front so I may view the bird during the winter from my office window. Now we did have visitors out back but since I've moved them out front we have heavy trafficking ... it is quite interesting. I wonder what on earth makes the difference.

Have a beautiful week.

Darla, we love you, even when you don't have time to blog! That Hibiscus is GORGEOUS!!

Nice hummingbird shot! I should look to see if any of the monarch caterpillars are "hanging around" here. They should be migrating soon. If they came up with a dwarf shrimp plant would it be called 'Popcorn Shrimp'? ;)

I like how the Hibiscus sometimes look like crepe paper and I love your Golden Shrimp plant. How very unusual.

Hi Darla, We know that you are a busy lady these days. When is that wedding??? Soon I bet... Hope you get some wonderful weather --like we are getting now.

Love seeing your Monarchs.... And the hummingbird pictures are great... I have alot of hummers now--but it's hard to catch their pictures. Mine should be getting ready to head south...

Have a great week, my friend.
Hugs,

Interesting that other butterflies use the Milkweed as a larval host. I didn't know that. Something new to learn everyday. I'm going to go out and look at my Milkweed. Great Hummer shots! Wow! I'm always trying to catch mine but he zips away when I get the camera. Enjoy your busyness.

I was wondering what all that stuff is on my milkweed. I haven't seen the caterpillars but the aphids are present. Great shot of the hummingbird. I like to visit you to catch up on your world. We know you are very busy with the bride and groom stuff right now. It'll soon be over.

Weddings have a way of keeping people busy. But I'm glad you found the time to post these pictures from your garden. It's good to see the Monarch Caterpillars are back.

I think I've seen the last of the hummers for this year.

I have the same (tagless) Hibiscus so now I know the name. Thank you.

I like your header, and your garden plants are as beautiful as ever. Since the big event is coming up in a month I hope you have cooler weather then -- sunny, but cooler.
