Spider Lilies or Hurricane Lilies
This is the Dahlia bud from the last post open. The fall flowers seem to be a little darker in color than the late spring early summer ones were.
Painted Lady Hibiscus in a container. I lost the one I had last year due to the ab-normal cold temps we had. Maybe bringing this one in for the winter will save it.
I pulled up or cut down all of the yellow and orange Cosmos that bloomed this summer. Not before it went to seed though. That is one thing I love about a longer growing season. You can see more Celosia still popping up too.
I may actually like this bright Amaranthus in front of the Mexican Bush Sage after all.
Butterfly Ginger--my first year with this, thanks Ms. Doris. We have had an abundance of yellow jackets this year. Not a favorite of ours by any means.
BES Vine is doing great in both locations I have let it grow. It must prefer cooler temperatures as it is slowly starting to bloom. In our zone it has an aggressive nature.
Today I am Thankful for the change of seasons.
