Fertilizer Friday

It's time to fertilizer and or flaunt your flowers Friday over at http://tootsietime.blogspot.com !
Thanks Tootsie for hosting this meme every Friday, your gardens are beautiful and you just wait until my elbows are better--I'll be REDOING my BBQ!!

Hibiscus--I always have plenty of seed from these plants. If you are interested, let me know.

I thought I pulled up all the Ornamental Potato Vine taters last year. Guess I missed a couple. You know what that means. Yes, I have already started cutting these and rooting them in water to spread around the gardens..it only takes about two days to form roots. (Ignore the Loofa vine, I have them growing up trees and on the lattice, will share about them at a later date)
Jacobina
with Monarda
I adore this container, Ruby Mountain Grass with Creeping Jenny.
Cosmos, Zinnias, Purple Coneflowers, Milkweed, Climbing Rose on the right, small container of Peppermint Verbena on the lattice, Clematis Vine and Coral Reef Sedum in the window box. A very small area of the full sun garden, how's this for crowdscaping?
Backside of the lattice. Grandpa Ott's Morning Glory. You can see the climbing rose on the lattice to the right of the Morning Glory. Purple Coneflowers and Dusty Miller.
For some reason I just can't capture the hugeness of this white Guara.
Pink Guara
Double Knockout Roses sure could use some deadheading.
Plumbago
Isn't she divine?
The Pink Butterfly Bush I bought off the distressed rack for $6.00 has settled in well.

White Profusion Butterfly Bush I did not prune this one back last year. I am waiting for the top to bloom so I can show you how large it has grown.

The quality of these photos are not the Canon's fault. It's the fault of the shakey weak arms due to elbows that are in constant pain. Yesterday I was cleared for surgery. Potassium level is strong at 5.2 and the EKG was okay. This does not decrease the anxiety level though, lol. I know we are to be anxious for nothing and by prayer and supplication let our requests be known to God. It's a work in progress...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today I am Thankful that I have been labeled normal, healthy and YOUNG!! (tee hee)
Girl I'll be keeping you in my prayers. God will see you thru, he always does.
Gaura can get pretty big. I've seen it as big shrubs.
Your gaura is huge! I love the pink (pink is my color:)
I'll have to try rooting some potato vine.
It sounds cool to be growing your own loofas.
Best wishes that you will be past this surgery and recovering very soon.
That's great news the ornamental potato returned for you. That plumbago is such a beautiful plant.
Love the plumbago and best of luck with the surgery... I'm very aware of what that anticipation feels like... I once was at a large dinner meeting where the speaker gave a prize for the person who had had the most surgeries... I won by a landslide! Not sure it's something that carries bragging rights however! In response to the questions on my site... we used to be zone 4/5 but I really sense that we are a strong 5 these days (and actually this past winter was probably a 6, although I would never count on that as a rule!). As far as the clematis, I generally stick with pruning group 3 so they can be cut back to about 8" each spring. Have a great day and continue to trust in the source of your power... beautiful here but a bit of those Florida muggies for a couple days! At least the severe storms broke up just west of here so only a bit of rain overnight...Larry
Your gardens look fantastic honey...in spite of the elbows...your yard is a haven!
thanks for linking in...keep in touch sister...I miss you!
That $6 butterfly bush sounds like a steal! I wish the potato vines came back here it would save me from buying them.
I hope all goes well on your surgery!
Oh my your garden is lovely! How do you manage with your poor elbows? Wishing you a quick and speedy recovery with your surgeries. I'll keep you in my prayers, dear friend.
Your Plumbago reminds me of my Mom's. So pretty of a blue. I love Guara too, they are one tough plant. But yet so delicate.
Your gardens are simply gorgeous. A great place to sit during your recovery. Soak up all the love from them that you have given them.
Keep us posted on your surgery.
I love your header, too! Also, your flowers are looking great. I am sorry you are having to have surgery! I will keep you in my prayers. By the way, that is a really nice label someone gave you!
When will you have the surgery?
When Joe had his accident, I asked everyone I knew to pray for him, and I think the answered prayers are why Joe is doing so well.
Ask and you shall receive.
I'll be praying for you Darla. I just know everything will be OK. I'm like you though, always anxious about anything having to do with doctors!
Oh Darla everything looks so bloomin' wonderful I'd sure have a hard time picking any favorites.
I do like the new picture on your header - great shot of the kids!
By the way I went back and added that the wheelbarrow you commented on says 'Hometown Hardware' on the sides.
Good luck with your surgery - you'll be in our thoughts and prayers.
Your flowers are beautiful. And thanks for the tip on the beebalm. Is it too late to pinch off the blooms now? I tried growing Grandpa Ott from seed this year with no success... it would have been really cool too, because my kids have a Grandpa Ott. Love the coneflowers.
Wow Plumbago is divine indeed. Love that shade of blue! Your garden is looking great. Don't worry yourself about the Walking Iris, I know you've had alot on your plate recently. :) Oh and be careful with that Obedient Plant, most of them are quite invasive, hence the container mine are in. They spread by runners underground!
It looks so pretty. I love the crowdscaping. I'm hoping I get to see some Cosmos this year. They haven't sprouted and there's no sign of warm weather coming.
Good luck with the surgery, glad you were cleared and healthy! Have a good weekend.
You poor dear. Praying you'll be better soon. Wow. You got the garden of gardens. I love how you have the jenny's creeper in the container. I gotta try that one. I so wish I lived in the planting zone for potato vines. I think they're so awesome.
Hello just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren't loading correctly. I'm not sure why but I think its a linking issue.
I've tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same outcome.
