GBBD and Bloomin' Tuesday..

First of all, help with another plant ID please. An envelope was given to me last year with tiny black seeds inside and written on the outside of the envelope was White Angel Trumpet Vine... Of course I planted it under the lattice so it would have a support to grow on. Doesn't quite look like a vine to me, at least not yet. Any ideas?

Stop by http://maydreamsgardens.blogspot.com/ for GBBD and http://msgreenthumbjean.blogspot.com/ for Bloomin' Tuesday. I'm sure you will see a lot of beautiful blooms this 15th day of June.

Zinnia
Celosia
Fennel
Two types of Milkweed

Skullcap
Balloon Flowers

Larkspur is still hanging in there

The Torenia is popping up all over again this year

Looking like a catch all here in the wagon

Ragin' Cajun RuelliaBlue Beddar Salvia with Agapanthus

Penta
BES Vine
Achilles
Looks like my posting will be slowing down for the next couple of weeks. My elbows hurt constantly, surgery for the reconstruction of one of them is the 24th. Even taking photos hurt...grrr. Typing not much better...I will be around visiting as time allows. I am also trying to get as much organized for my daughter's Oct. wedding before my surgery.
Have a wonderful day ! !

Beautiful blooms and gorgeous gardens! Hopped over from Jean's Bloomin' Tuesday link party. Can't wait to see what other goodies your blog has to offer.

Thanks for sharing! Oh, and I totally agree about being thankful for plants that aren't fussy! LOL

The torenia looks nice. I'm not familiar with that one. I like your catch all wagon.
As for the plant ID, it looks a lot like my moon flower plant. But, the seeds are not tiny. At least not what I consider tiny like poppy seeds. There is a moon flower vine but mine isn't a vine. I could be completly wrong on the ID. I hope someone knows for sure!

Darla that plant looks like a Datura. They bloom at night...most folks call it a moonvine, but it's really not. I grow them and they have beautiful big white flowers. They have these big seed pods that will give you you tons of seeds and stickers in your fingers too :)

Beautiful blooms as always Darla. Wish I could help with the id on your mystery 'vine'. Maybe someone else will be able to id it, I'll be back to check. :) Good luck with your surgery, hope all goes well. We'll miss you, take care of yourself.

Sorry I don't know the mystery plant. What fun to discover it's true identity when it blooms. Your wagon and other planters are inspiring me to plant up an old wheelbarrow of mine. I hope all goes well with your surgery and that you will be out of pain soon. Enjoy the wedding planning and every detail that goes into it. It is such a special time.

Everything looks great.

I just got a couple of celosia. Thought I would see how those blooms do as dried flowers. They sure come in wonderful, neon colors.

Love the larkspur too. Next year I may try that from seed.

It is a Datura or Moon flower. It will get quite big and bloom like crazy at Night. I alway take a hand full of them in at night because they smell so good, they will be dead in the morning after the sun hits them anyway so enjoy them at night. The Ipomoea Alba or Trumpet vine is in the same family, but I don't think that is the one you have... Enjoy you'll love it.

It all looks great Darla. I too am thankful for low maintenance plants. The old knees are a great pain as of now. I have "Tennis Elbow" so I do understand.
Take all the recovery time--we will be here.

Sorry to hear about your elbow problems. I hope all goes well and you recover quickly.
Your garden is so bright and cheery, it all looks wonderful. I have Zinnia envy - that's such a great color.

Darla everything looks so great. You have so many beautiful plants I've never heard of - must be a nice weather 'Florida' thing. ;-)
Sorry to hear about the elbows and upcoming surgery. Hope all goes well for your daughters' wedding. I took a spill and have a few owies myself - like the whole body. LOL

I love all of your blooms today! So many of those aren't blooming yet here. I love the wagon garden. As soon as my littlest is grown past using ours, it's becoming part of my garden :)
I sure hope the surgery makes your elbows feel better.

Species datura, not a vine. They tend to seed about and are very hardy. Mine never get big like the more tender yellow and purple daturas do.

The blue salvia with agapanthus is one I hadn't thought of. Yours look great together. I put some stokesia in with agapanthus for next year bloom. I also planted some little agapanthus sprouts together with Duranta cuttings for future bloom together.

Your garden looks great. I hope your surgery goes well and you are soon back online and in the garden.

Darla, is it too late for me to start celosias from seed?

Your gardens are bursting with color. Beautiful Darla. Love the wagon. Hope you can take care of the pain with something till you have the surgery. It is hard to do anything when you are hurting so bad. Prayers for you.

Oh what a lovely Datura. And they do smell so very fragrant.

BTW, most parts of that plant are dangerous, and contain toxic hallucinogens. Might want to keep little children away from them.

Every year we hear about teenagers who have ingested parts, and suffered some problems with toxicity.

Good luck with your surgery. Hope your elbow feels better. Your plant has the common names Moon flower, or Angel trumpets. They really self seed. They get big white flowers and huge seed pods on them after the they flower. They do not climb. Your yard looks amazing.

I'll be thinking about you during and after your surgery, Darla. My biggest problem was the pain medication (which made me really sick at my stomach). Good Luck!!! Keep us posted.

Love your gardens and all of your beautiful flowers... i couldn't help but notice all of the gorgeous white Impatiens blooming like crazy... They add SO much to any garden, don't they???

Hugs,
Betsy

I agree with Tracy . I call my a 'moon flower' or 'angel trumpet' but it's a plant, not a vine. I over winter mine in the basement and they come back . Can't imagine what you will do when you can't garden. Talk about withdrawel! Good luck! Jean

I am so sorry you will be needing to have surgery! And with a wedding coming up! I will be praying for your most perfect outcomes!!!

Your plants look beautiful. I do think that mystery plant is an angel trumpet. Hopefully, you'll get some blooms on it this summer. I hope my torenia (first year I planted it) pops up all around my garden next year. I, too, am very thankful for plants.

I think is what is commonly called Angel Trumpet, but it is not the real Angel Trumpet. I have one, it stays on the ground.

Your mystery plant looks like Angel trumpet to me. It gets tall and bushy like.

Sorry your elbow is hurting so bad. Sure hope the surgery brings lots of relief.
