Featuring a Very Special Blog!

We interrupt the regulary scheduled post to feature a very special blog.

I have known this young lady since she was a little girl. Her younger sister was best friends with my oldest daughter. Now this young lady is all grown up with a family of her own, how time flies. She has decided to dabble in cake decorating...dabble smabble...these are beautiful. (she also has cupcakes)

With permission to feature her here, I lifted some photos from her blog to entice you to want to see more. Besides the fact that she is truly gifted at cake decorating, my daughter has commissioned her to make her wedding cake. I will have to get permission from the bride to show the cake that she wants...it's too cute! Not your traditional wedding cake at all.

Below are photos of cakes from Mrs. Sofa's blog. I would like to ask, if you have the time, to drop by http://sofabulous-sweets.blogspot.com/ and view the beautiful cakes she has decorated. You may have to click older posts to get to some cute, cute cakes. So worth the mouth-watering time!

If you have any questions about her cakes or cupcakes please comment on her blog.
The only suggestion I have is that she update her blog a little more often, even if it's just a line or two letting us know a tidbit of what she's up to.
We have become family-like, us bloggers, and love updates...right ya'll?
Thanks Mrs. Sofa for allowing me to feature your cake decorating gift...I wish you much fun and success ! !

Today I am Thankful for my daughter's wedding bringing childhood friends back together.

Wowee! Those cakes are too pretty to eat, I think I'd have them put under glass or something! Absolutely beautiful. I'm off to check out her site. Thank you for sharing this talent with us!

Darla, that was a sweet trip, thanks for showing us a new blogger.

She is amazing, and very creative.

I do drop by everyday, I just don't always have the time to leave a comment. Sometimes I have to rush off to work, and I certainly didn't want you to think that I didn't come and visit.

That flower petal cake is so cool, beautiful. I am scared to see her prices though, as my daughter's wedding cake was almost 900.00..and it was a larger simple cake ,unbelievable what the prices are for these cakes that look like your friends. I can't touch them ( with my wallet ) , thanks for showing them, Gina

The only problem with these cakes and cupcakes is that they are entirely too beautiful to eat! But, then, I could probably force myself to have a bite (or two or three!).

Darla, The cakes are beautiful. Much success to Mrs. Sofa and her creative pursuit. Amanda Chalae [sp?]
has herself a very talented cake maker.

And yes, regular base-touching is important to blogging. We miss each other when our blogger buddies are away.

Those are beautiful cakes. She has a true gift. Can't wait to see your daughter's cake. If she doesn't want anyone to see it before her big day, ask if she would mind afterwards. And of course we all want to see wedding pictures!
