For Bloomin' Tuesday....Wedding Prep #1

Today I am sharing something that I have been working on for my daughter's wedding for Bloomin' Tuesday over at http://msgreenthumbjean.blogspot.com

The colors of the wedding are canary yellow, which is a soft yellow, oranges and green...fallish of course. This wedding is going to be a fun whimsy wedding with stripes, swirls, polka dots, yellow gingham, burlap, bubbles, handmade seed packets filled with seeds collected from my gardens as wedding favors and, and, and....
Remember they are going to be married outside under a pergola by a pond. The reception will be in the lodge by the pond. My soon to be son-in-law sent me a pile of silver buckets with corona in bright blue stamped on the side to paint for the wedding.
This is how they look now..

Garden Mums

Variegated Flax Lilies...I have forgotten the name of the tropical on the right.

26 buckets to decorate the porch and also to be given as wedding favors to those "extra" special people, like Grandmothers and such...
Plain and Variegated Liriope

So, what do you think?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today I am Thankful to cross a completed task off my list.
That is a spectacular idea. I think they look great.
My mom and dad were just at a wedding and she said the entry to the church was lined with baskets of mums and asparagus ferns. I think plants make a great welcome and giving them to "special" people afterward is so nice.
Darla Dear, These are so cool! You've done such a fabulous job with them. You want to know which is my favorite? The variegated flax lily! Nice job all around. I'm so impressed and so privileged to be on the inside track. Big hugs to you my friend!
Sounds like a lovely, fun wedding! It's weird to go to a very formal wedding when the couple aren't formal at all. Whimsical sounds wonderful. Love the pails! Jean
