Oh my is time flying! It's time for Cottage Flora at http://fishtailcottage.blogspot.com/ and FF tomorrow at http://tootsietime.blogspot.com/ I have been busy painting, shampooing carpet and juggling sprinklers. We are now about 10 inches short of rainfall for the year with no rain in sight. Hope I can keep up.
Here are my offerings for today.
Nicotina
Four O'clocks right in the middle of the path, sigh.

I love the Jacobina plant. That flower makes a statement.
Darla I can't wait to visit your gardens in person. I'm hoping soon. Lovelia is so pretty. Love all the blooms. I see foxglove behind the container garden. Foxglove is on my list of plants I have to have next year. Can't believe the size of the butterfly bush. How did you root your plant.
Hi Darla,
Your perennials are stunning! I am so glad I joined Cottage Flora Thursday this week. I have discovered so many wonderful blogs and I also have a passion for gardening. Have a great day!
A four o'clock in the path. What's it thinking? Ha!
Great on the butterfly bush!
I planted some nicotina seeds this spring. Hope to get flowers like you!
I love your "mish-mash potting area."
Interesting that you've got Callas and hydrangeas simultaneously. That doesn't happen here. Hydrangeas are much later. We're both Zone 8 but so different. Kudos for some great plants.
Don't ya' love it when those plants pop up where you don't want them? I don't always have luck moving them to a better spot. Love that lace-cap hydrangea. Is it in shade? You always have so many flowers and I love seeing them.
Your garden is beautiful!
Your flowers are gorgeous! I have some jacobina too but the buds have not opened yet...Christine
Everything looks good despite very little rain. We haven't had much either and it's getting harder and harder to keep things going. Let's hope the rainy season will start soon.
I enjoyed looking at your pixs, isn't it amazing...some gardens are just waking up with Spring and others already have Four O'Clocks and Cone Flowers blooming.
We also need rain, a really good soaking would be great.
I love your lacecap hydrangea. Your blooms are all lovely and it must be a joy to walk around your gardens.

Hi Darla, All of your flowers and all of the colors are just gorgeous... I learn SO much about many different flowers which I have seen but never know the names --from you... You should take a trip to Biltmore and mark the names on all of their flowers!!!! ha
Thanks for the beauty this morning.
Hugs,
Betsy
Love your four o clocks - when I was little my mom grew these on the west side of the house - she would send me under them with a quart jar to gather the seed sfo rhte next year - I had totally forgotten that until I saw your picture - I must find some seeds this year to plant! Thanks for sharing, Paula from Idaho
Nice collection of flowers, I specially like the butterfly bush
Thanks for putting the welcome mat out at your gardens.I enjoy each stroll, savouring the beauty.
Darla, you must spend most of the day in your Garden.
I'm impressed with your butterfly bush! I have a new one but it hasn't grown quite as much as yours! And - funny, but the butterflies never visit it! :/ I laughed at your four o'clocks in the middle of the path. They pop up in the strangest of places!
Wow. I didn't realize that it was Friday tomorrow either!!! wow. Time does fly. I will have to get my flowers on too! I love doing this with you all!
I couldn't tell that you are experiencing such dry weather by looking at your beautiful blossoms. I hope you soon get some rain.
That plant you said is about ten feet tall has leaves that remind me of the weed people puff on. I am sure it is not that but it reminded me of it.
I am almost 77 years old and my mind and eyes, even with glasses, see things that are not there so I have to imagine them.
My son lives in Boca Raton or Florida. He thinks the place he lives in Florida. Especially since he moved away from Jupiter.
I have never seen Lacecap Hydrangea!!! How lovely is this??? WOWZERS!!!
Darla, your garden is lovely! They are all so bright and cheerful!
Have a great weekend!
*hugs*deb

Darla, I believe we've got your missing rain here in the Pacific NW. Heart breaking to hear about Linda, she will be greatly missed. I'm feeling really blue about her loss. Jenni
