Cottage Flora Thursday and FF

My goodness time is flying. It seems as if the girls just got out of school for summer break and here it is a month away from them starting another school season.
Please take a look over at http://fishtailcottage.blogspot.com/ today and http://tootsietime.blogspot.com/ tomorrow for photos of beautiful blooms, plants, gardens and great ideas.
Brugmansia--Angel Trumpet has been strutting her stuff and walking by her in the early morning she has a delightful fresh fragrance.

I do not know what happened here. Clearly marked Blackberry Lily the seed was planted two years ago. Regardless, she's a keeper. Thanks Ms. Frances over at http://fairegarden.wordpress.com/ for the seed. I have another area where Blackberry Lilies are growing from seed from another garden blogger. I'll post on those at a later date.

Double Knockout Roses--These are very low maintenance plants, although with regular pruning you do not have that long period in between blooms.

Please disregard the date stamp on some of the photos, someone has been playing with my camera....sigh

Althea--Rose of Sharon

Two new to me plants, thanks DH for bringing me a surprise when you visit Lowe's.

Dwarf Canna

I'm really excited about this one!

Do you know this one? Any suggestions?

First two steps on my newest project....

Hmmm...

I do hope and pray everyone has a safe and blessed weekend. (the finished window is in my newer post)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today I am Thankful for the interest that has been shown in purchasing some of my signs.
I try to prune my knock-out to keep it blooming, too. It really does make a difference. Your trumpets are making some beautiful music!
Beautiful blooms Darla. I moved my Knockouts this year just so I could let them go wild with growth. You decorate like I do also. Love the pane window. I have one my brother gave me that he replaced on a house over 100 years old and I painted one of my Yorkies on it. Of course that I have in my bedroom. :) I left mine totally natural. There's so many great things you can do with them.
Loving the Brugmansia, it's so loaded with blooms!Your garden looks so happy. Evertyhing here has been put on the back burner...I'm babysitting my son's puppy while they are on theri honeymoon. Needless to say, it's been a while since mine were pups and created as much havoc as this one has! LOL Dhe loves my compost pile and has it strewn all over the back yard! What a mess! LOL So you'll know what I'll be doing next week.
Yes, my images are for sharing. I get them from Dover. I'm on their mailing list ans they send out samples to share, so I pass along what I find interesting and hope others do to.
Have a great weekend!
That window is to die for. I love your color. I can't wait to see what you do with it. I have this Veronica/Speedwell. It's a keeper for sure. Full sun, regular water. Easy! Your Double Knock Out looks fabulous. I really like mine too. Looks more like a trumpet lily than a Blackberry lily. Gorgeous! Your Brugmansia is awesome.
Very lovely Darla. Your Angel Trumpet is gorgeous. Mine hasn't done anything. I have one in a pot & one in the ground. They aren't growing at all.
Oh the brug is beautiful! Mine died this year from various ailments...I think the kicker though was getting bleach water on it when I cleaned the shed. Got the perfect place for another one though.
I believe the plant is Speedwell/Veronica. It looks dainty and lovely, but they can grow like mad and are really very hardy. I have them all over here in Alaska. I just love them!
