Here's a Lollipop Moose Holder that my Mom made years ago.
The small kid found my old spoon collection. We decided to use some wire and nails and an old piece of wood we found in the garden. This door frame is in the dining room going into the kitchen.
We saw a "Free" sign on the side of the road yesterday. This Welcome Block Sign was in the junk. The Quilt Block my Mom years ago as well. I cut a small branch from an Oak Tree to hang it on.
I had too mant lights on when I took this photo. I stained an old Table Grape Crate to hold all of our living room stuff. Canning jar makes a great candy holder. Found the two bird tea light candle holders at the Dollar Store, now I have to make some tea light candles.
There is a long black shelf along this wall. It's from one of the schools, I painted it black. A little step ladder that the Church Nursery, (where I work) was tossing out. Painted it black, and dug out some old tins from the early 90's.
On the Piano are a couple of photographs taken at GSMNP in 2008 by Leedra Scott at http://leedrasphotosforfun.blogspot.com/
Here are a couple of more photos by Leedra as well. She will do her best to accomodate your style. Color, sepia, black and white-- check out her out. The little Church between the photos my oldest daugher painted for me in 1997.
I love Catherine Holman's FolkArt too. I cannot afford a painting so I purchased a few prints from her for myself and a couple as Christmas gifts last year. The prints come with a Certificate of Authenticity for an original print with a darling story of the picture. These are hanging on either side of the window in the dining room. (need to make new curtains in here now)
Please check her out at http://catherineholmanfolkart.blogspot.com/
It has been fun changing things around in the house. Have a ways to go still. For now, I have cabin fever and will be in the gardens today!!

I guess it's true what some people say, someone's junk is someone else's treasure. I love that welcome sign. I can't believe someone was throwing it out.
All the new "touches" in your home are looking really nice. Wish I had some creativity.
Your home looks lovely and I love the spoon collection over the doorway! Thanks for the link and for mentioning my prints!
Hugs,
Cathie
Oh My Gosh where do I begin? The spoon collection is the most precious idea I have ever seen. Love the use of the little step stool. That gives it so many heigths available in one place, and the little crate used for the coffee table is both cute and functional. Love it, just love it. Great decorating, and great post. Thanks for sharing today. Country Hugs, Sherry
I love to show off my collections and treasures. It's fun to keep adding stuff over the years.

Looks like your plan is coming together! You will enjoy it!
The Moose Holder works for me. Who plays the piano?
Lucky you to get in the gardens. I am opposite-wanting to remodel, paint and change things in the house. Love the spoon holder. How creative!
It's looking really great! I wish I was that creative! I like the spoons too.
You have done a lovely job with your 'treasures'. TTFN ~Marydon
Gosh Darla you are so creative! I love all of it.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I had been keeping my eye out to see where you were using them in your re-do. Knew they went with the theme of things. Like both places, and the church your daughter painted goes so well.
Darla, I love everything you've done! Leedra's photos look great there! I have a greeting card of one of those cabins. I also have one of Catherine's prints and one of her paintings. I'm hoping to get a personal one of my cabin in the future. You & I have similar GREAT taste! :-)
LOVE LOVE LOVE the spoons!!!! I love your place! So comfy and cozy! LOVE it! I enjoy seeing the inside as well as the outside!
Darla: You are as busy as a beaver with all your decorating inside and out. Very nicely done my friend.
You are doing a fabulous job decorating your home, Darla. I love the spoon collection. I have a friend in Texas who collects those little spoons That's a great way to display them.
Hope you have had a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy
You are working much to hard but I know you will be happy with the change.

It is fun to change things around:)
How nice to 'step inside', looks as comfy and homey as the outside:)
Hey Bilbo is at Anna's!!!!!!!!
Hi Darla! It was fun looking at your treasures! The spoon collection is my favorite! I should never show the moose head lollipop holder to my kids, they will want one for themselves!
Thank you for leaving a comment on my big fish. You are right, I am proud and still surprised how I got so lucky: there were many boats on the river that day, but we saw only two king salmons caught during 5 hours. I've been smiling for 3 days already! Happy gardening to you and I'll see you around!
Hi Darla~~ Nice decorating. Very innovative "re-purposing."
I was wondering, Darla... I'm not sure if this is the problem because I'm not smart but I was wondering if you have changed your blog address from old to new on Blotanical. I'm not sure but I was thinking maybe this is why I'm not finding you on my Picks. I don't like missing your posts!
Celosia loves this heat wave we're being swallowed up in. Yes, something good is coming from the heat. Patience, patience, I tell myself. :)
Me too--I have been changing stuff around. I finally got some shelves in my family room so I can pull out all those old baby photos.
Everything looks good at your home. I like that it's all got memory. Most of my stuff has been with me forever. I just don't get tired of things. I don't care what the trend is. Since I've always bought the same colors--it all goes together.
You've certainly been busy with all your projects for your home. Everything looks wonderful. I look forward to the full room photos.
Collections are fun, aren't they? I like how you are finding ways to display them.
I love that moose! I need to find that pattern somewhere. My son collects them and reindeer.
