Bloomin' Tuesday...

The medium kids got home at 5:oo a.m. this morning...don't know how the Mime Competition turned out...our Youth Group won the district so they went to Nationals at a Youth Conference in North Carolina...it they wake up today I'll find out the results.

I have began the restructuring of the Full Sun Garden...

A Sedum Rock Garden at the entrance to the path.
It needs some more tweaking....it's a start though.
That's actually Creeping Phlox on both sides of the path.
Geranium
White Vinca
Moss Rose
Green Envy Zinnia....which is not green
Pink Vinca
Purple Vinca
I have Torenia EVERYWHERE~~~~~

Marigold
This area that we enlarged has filled in quickly....Torenia, again.

Just when I think I have pulled up or cut back the Susans......

I do like this combo in the Tipsy Planter..

Althea, Rose of Sharon, Hibiscus Family---I have seen these trees up to 15 feet around this area. It can be pruned as a shrub if you so desire. It does go dormant in the winter. Extremely easy to propagate.
This is the second flush of flowers this season.
Thanks to Jean at http://msgreenthumbjean.blogspot.com for hosting Bloomin' Tuesday. Go on over to Jean's place and see what else it bloomin' today.

Hanging Out With Small Kid and Sidekick~

The two medium kids have been at a Youth Conference the last 4 days. Small kid, myself and her Dad have been hanging out together. We have had a wonderful time enjoying her without the influence of siblings. (if you have more than one child you know what I mean)
Today she wanted to go to the Tallahassee Museum and bring Sidekick along. (Sidekick is a small kid that I have babysat since before he could walk-- more like part of the family)
This is a small portion of the things you can see at this Museum..When I was a small kid is was called the Jr. Museum.
Eagle
Owl
Old Farmhouses--equipped with the bare essentials used long ago.
Cougar
Bear
Always a funny place to take a photo!
Small Kid and Sidekick by an old storage house.
Path up to the tamer animals.
Small Kid in the Outhouse! (Yes, she is sitting on the hole)
Cow
Goats
You know these two photos were very hard for me to take.......Small Kid and Sidekick said I did very good in the snake area!!! (They had no idea the shaking that was going on)

One of their all time favorites............
The Caboose!
This was on the bottom left of the Church.
Inside the Church
Very interesting history about the Bellevue Plantation
Bellevue Plantation House
The cook house was often off from the main house because of the heat....This is part of the cook house.
Out behind the Main House was the slave quarters........I tried to photograph the inside but it was just too dark.

The medium kids will be back late tonight. Maybe I can get back into my routine........Oh wait....Thursday Sidekick's Mom and I will be canning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I'll post that for sure..
