Soft pink Vinca
Seeds of the Amaranthus Joseph's Coat
What a bold statement~! I have 9 more in this area, it's going to be eye catching. All are volunteers from last year. The more sun it is exposed to the brighter it becomes.

I hope you get tons of loofah. I've always thought this would be a neat plant to grow.
Since Granny passed away in April, I have not been reading blogs like I used to. I have got to get back at it because coming here this morning just made me miss your pictures so much. I love visiting you. Are you doing good? I hope so. Is it hot there? It is suppose to be 100 here today. I am ready for cooler weather. My garden is drying up quickly except for my okra and peppers but we are still enjoying it.
The amaranthus is looking good. It will be a sight with 9 of them looking like that.
I haven't seen amaranthus this gorgeous since my sister Mel used to grow them. I love their goosenecked blooms.
Your header Moonflower seedpod it the coolest. They are just loaded with seeds, hundreds of them.
Have a relaxing break. Take care and I'll keep you in my prayers.
BlessYourHeart
Love those zinnias! ...and the amaranthus...mine is just a miniature , but perhaps I shouldn't have planted them in the shade.
Darla, you have so many pretty and unusual flowers!! I always enjoy seeing them.
My dear...have fun planning the wedding! gail
You have such a great spot for that loofah. Harvesting from the top of your vine might be interesting though. Love the zinnias. They are one of my favorite summer flowers around here.
Wow it is really scurrying up that tree huh? It reminds me a bit of cukes, the leaves & blooms. :)
That loofah vine would be as much fun to watch grow as my apple gourd.

I think it is so cool to grow loofas.
Love your zinias. I was noticing mine today. This has been a great year for them, they are fantastic.

Things are looking great there! The zinnias sure do look happy!
I'm so jealous of your clematis. I've killed two so far.... don't know what I'm doing wrong or if the plant is just not suited for that area. I'm inspired to give zinnias a try. They are so pretty. Do you do them from seed?
Everything is looking fantastic, will you be having wedding photography in your garden? I hope so, such a beautiful site and beautiful memories!
What a sight the amaranthus is going to be!! Your garden is just gorgeous!
*hugs*Deb
I really liked the Soft Pink vinca! I must find some for my garden.
The amaranthus does make a very bold statement! I bought some seeds, but did not get around to planting any this year, which I regret.
I cant wait to see how the Loofah experiment turns out! Joesph is a beauty.
Today I am thankful for Word Verification as my word was MAKER and it reminds me of our maker...
I've not seen a loofah growing before, very cool.
You have some beautiful flowers.
btw I get word verifications like "ounti"!
Hi Darla. Nice trellis for your Loofa Vine!
Love your Zinnias ... I'm starting to become a big fan of them as they are so well suited to the climate and conditions here ... and so many great colours.
Your Joseph's Coat is just brilliant ... that's on my must-get list!! Can't wait to see a photo of the nine!
Vinca is a pest here ... it pops up all over my yard and gets mown down regularly!!! It's very hard to get rid off ... and just never ever dies out!!!! Still ... the colours are lovely.
Darla, The amaranthus is stunning! The zinnias are colorful too. I can't wait to see your loofah - I wonder if that would grow where I live. I presume it is an annual. You've got me curious and now I need to do some research! Good luck on the wedding planning!
Blessings,Beth
Wow...that is a vine! Your zinnias are very pretty!!
All your flowers are so beautiful...I'm in awe...
How fun that the loofah is blooming! I love gourds. They give so much. Pretty garden!!!

great plants and flowers. I want to try loofah next year. you have inspired me to find some seeds.
Darla, whats the plant on your header? It looks familiar. Is it a datura?
Thanks so much for all the kind words, and prayers. It means a lot to me.
Jen
Darla,
I love the Amaranthus. I have never seen the Joseph's Coat variety before. It is very eye catching. Zinnias, zinnias, zinnias, they are the best for summer color!
Good luck with the wedding! And thanks for taking time out to visit my blog. Since it's so new I was feeling a bit lonely :)
Annie
Loofah - like REAL loofah??? I had no idea. I thought they were some kind of dried sea form!
You plants are ALL so beautiful. It brought me pleasure to see them this afternoon.
girl...my loofa is not even sprouting yet...the seeds aren't rotten or anything..I just think it has been so very warm here that they might be waiting...? not sure...at any rate...yours are wonderful...and I saved a couple seeds back from the ones you sent...might just have to give it another try here...luv ya girl...enjoy that wedding planning!
Enjoy this happy time with family...
I am thankful to be hearing the dove sing to me this morning...
It is so pretty at your place!
I love that Joesph's Coat. Never seen that one either.
I'm so excited about how the loofa's will turn out (I know, I need to get a life.)

Those plants are looking great! If I was you I would use organic fertilizer. This would make them grow more and grow faster. I want to grow some of those flowers.
