Darla ~ I always enjoy seeing what is blooming in your gardens. You have such wonderful combinations.
Have a great day ~ FlowerLady
Darla, I love your containers! I've not seen the little wagon used before...so cute! Have a great weekend!
Love it all! I will be happy to send you some seeds in the fall for the hardy hibiscus but you might have to remind me. I'm menopausal brain dead most day's anymore ..lol
Happy Thursday friend and hugs from Savannah, Cherry
You have great plant combinations. "String of bananas" is a funny name but fitting.
That 'string of bananas" is cute. I love out of the ordinary plants like that.
I also have a kids wagon that's not in use anymore. Think I'll use it like you did. LOL
Thanks for the idea!
Beautiful flowers! Your yard is amazing! Always something pretty blooming!
Great container plantings! I love how the pink fountain grass compliments the cleome. Very nice.
Lovin' the combinations of your plants in the containers! Especially love the wagon ♥
Your Agapanthus is looking great, mine doesn't seem to want to bloom this year...maybe it will just be late due to all the crazy weather
*hugs*deb
Darla I love your Agapanthus. I wonder if they would do all right over wintering in my basement? Strings of Bananas. LOL! What a fun plant and it so looks like its name. It is a new one to me. Your planting combinations are always so pretty. I always love seeing that Silver Sage. I love its leaves. Have a great week.
Great combos! L
Hi Darla, what is the plant in the first pic?
Love your colors, everything always looks great in your garden.

I love the little Tyco ? planter with impatiens and that thug, LOL. And the green and white caladiums are to die for. Everything is looking so good in your garden, despite the heat--a testament to the unwavering skills of the gardener!!
Darla I love that last photo. You can put a flower in any kind of container. Did you steal the kids toys? Just kidding...
The dusty miller looks nice in a container. Love the Silver Sage with the red and two yellows. Great contrast.
Great combining of plants both in and out of the containers. I really must get more creative with this aspect of gardening. You provide great material for copycatting:)
You do have nice floral combinations. Very pretty garden!
I love the flowers in what looks like a plastic toy??? I think it is awesome that we can take flowers and other things and turn ordinary into beautiful!!!! :) I have some little flowers out front in in a coffee can, and I love it. :) I just found a blog looking for Gardening stuff on the net--Meems??--and then I found yours....So happy to find these blogs. A good change from some other blogs I have been reading.....Thanks and God Bless. :) Robyn, Huntsville, AL
Hi Darla,
I enjoyed your creative containers--containers are my favorite way to garden.
Black and Blue Salvia - I grew that one year and I just loved it! It is not perennial in Michigan and I have never found it again.
You make me wish I had a bigger yard again.
Great flowers!
It is so funny, I was reading thru all the plant names thinking, how does she remember all the names? and then we got to "that tall thingy"
Garden is looking great.
Blessings Kelsie
I love all the items you use to plant your flowers in.
Red spiky thing IS the botanical name, see, you knew it. Cordyline.
LOVE the last photo with the toy as the container--just great!
I love the cleome and pink fountain grass. Great planting combinations. Thanks for the ideas.
Darla, your containers are so inventive and pretty, too. My dwarf agapanthas finally has a flower stalk. Yay!!
Love that little blue wheeled container that you have up against the tree all planted out. Adorable!
Stopping by via Jean's BT. Just love all that you've shared. Gorgeous plant combinations. Especially loving your sweet potatoe vine - one of my favorites.
Thanks for sharing!
Carla
Hi Darla - All your plants are soooo happy! You sure have a green thumb...WOW!

You have a lovely blog. Happy Gardening!
Wonderful! Love ya Darla:)
Darla, what combos. Love them. I garden a LOT in containers. For some reason I can't get Creeping Jenny to survive here. I lost most of my grasses this past winter. They were doing so good last Fall. Agapanthas {2 colors} hasn't bloomed in a couple yrs. I have them in pots {what else}. It's hard to find the light sweet potato vine.
Will have to check out the red spiky thing. Never heard of it.
As always I LOVE all of your flowers. Is that a wagon in the last picture? I have an old wagon that I could use too! Great idea.
It is 11:30 and I am just now posting my pics for FF!!! Hopefully get them done before midnight!
Very nice information shared by you. I was just searching this type of information and luckily I got it from your blog. I like your blog also. Keep it up.
Darla, you have such lovely garden beds with beautiful combinations! I love the bright chartreuse hue of sweet potato vine and am jealous of how profusely it grows for you!
Are you getting any rain? Or do you have to water? We see clouds on the horizon and they part before they get to us.
I see your agapanthus. Mine are just sitting there waiting for a hurricane I guess.
Creeping Jenny (thug)??? ha ha ha
Everything looks so lush as always!
love love love your agapanthus! Tried that here, but didn't have luck! (sad face) so i enjoyed seeing yours! thanks for sharing over at Cottage Flora Thursday's garden party! xoox, tracie
Darla girl .. I am so "tardy" in visiting your blog, I apologize especially since you have been so nice to visit mine so often ;-)
I love the old fashioned plants too and use them here and there .. the caladium,Dusty Miller, Sweet P vines ... they are all so pretty and wonderful fillers eh ? .. I think I have to add a few more (and I said I wasn't going overboard this year? EEKK!)
Joy : )
PS .. Colin lives from his fall(he looks totally gruesome with face bruising), Genevieve(sick&twisted) is violently kissing him in the hospital bed when Jill walks in)all sorts of goodies you will laugh at for your next episode ! hehehe
Joy
You have such a beautiful garden, with many flowers to enjoy!
You make me want to get out there and completely re-do a couple of my small beds. As soon as I'm done weeding (LOL) I'll do that.
Your sweet potato vines are so pretty!
It all looks wonderful! I have been looking at the crown of thorns at the nursery...might have to pick one up.
Pretty combinations in your containers, too.
Hi Darla! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment this morning...it was nice to 'meet' you. What a beautiful garden you have and such a variety of plants! I'm still building ours here on the farm..we're starting from scratch so we're taking it slow. We have a mailbox that is similar to yours...I love it. I see you follow someone from Armstrong British Columbia...my daughter is only a few miles from there and I lived about an hour from there for over 30 years. It's a small world. Have a wonderful day!
Maura :)
I love the photo with the mailbox in the background. What a beautiful garden!
Hugs,
Donna
okay!!! I finally have something to inspire me about that ugly stupid plastic wagon!!! yay!!! I LOVE YOU DARLA!!! My kids have a double wagon the same color as yours...and I hate it! It lays around the yard...doesn't roll worth a crap anymore...and now.....I think I NEED to plant it!
