You have great plant combinations. "String of bananas" is a funny name but fitting.

That 'string of bananas" is cute. I love out of the ordinary plants like that.
I also have a kids wagon that's not in use anymore. Think I'll use it like you did. LOL
Thanks for the idea!

Lovin' the combinations of your plants in the containers! Especially love the wagon ♥
Your Agapanthus is looking great, mine doesn't seem to want to bloom this year...maybe it will just be late due to all the crazy weather

Darla I love your Agapanthus. I wonder if they would do all right over wintering in my basement? Strings of Bananas. LOL! What a fun plant and it so looks like its name. It is a new one to me. Your planting combinations are always so pretty. I always love seeing that Silver Sage. I love its leaves. Have a great week.

I love the little Tyco ? planter with impatiens and that thug, LOL. And the green and white caladiums are to die for. Everything is looking so good in your garden, despite the heat--a testament to the unwavering skills of the gardener!!

Darla I love that last photo. You can put a flower in any kind of container. Did you steal the kids toys? Just kidding...

The dusty miller looks nice in a container. Love the Silver Sage with the red and two yellows. Great contrast.

Hi Darla,
I enjoyed your creative containers--containers are my favorite way to garden.

Black and Blue Salvia - I grew that one year and I just loved it! It is not perennial in Michigan and I have never found it again.

Darla, what combos. Love them. I garden a LOT in containers. For some reason I can't get Creeping Jenny to survive here. I lost most of my grasses this past winter. They were doing so good last Fall. Agapanthas {2 colors} hasn't bloomed in a couple yrs. I have them in pots {what else}. It's hard to find the light sweet potato vine.
Will have to check out the red spiky thing. Never heard of it.

As always I LOVE all of your flowers. Is that a wagon in the last picture? I have an old wagon that I could use too! Great idea.
It is 11:30 and I am just now posting my pics for FF!!! Hopefully get them done before midnight!

Are you getting any rain? Or do you have to water? We see clouds on the horizon and they part before they get to us.

I see your agapanthus. Mine are just sitting there waiting for a hurricane I guess.

Darla girl .. I am so "tardy" in visiting your blog, I apologize especially since you have been so nice to visit mine so often ;-)
I love the old fashioned plants too and use them here and there .. the caladium,Dusty Miller, Sweet P vines ... they are all so pretty and wonderful fillers eh ? .. I think I have to add a few more (and I said I wasn't going overboard this year? EEKK!)
Joy : )
PS .. Colin lives from his fall(he looks totally gruesome with face bruising), Genevieve(sick&twisted) is violently kissing him in the hospital bed when Jill walks in)all sorts of goodies you will laugh at for your next episode ! hehehe

Hi Darla! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment this morning...it was nice to 'meet' you. What a beautiful garden you have and such a variety of plants! I'm still building ours here on the farm..we're starting from scratch so we're taking it slow. We have a mailbox that is similar to yours...I love it. I see you follow someone from Armstrong British Columbia...my daughter is only a few miles from there and I lived about an hour from there for over 30 years. It's a small world. Have a wonderful day!
