Iris and Clematis

The Irises are beginning to bloom.

Dutch Iris

Can you smell the rootbeer scent?
It's not all the way open yet.
A gold colored Iris.

Ignore the neighbors home in the background.

The last of the rescued Clematis has opened and I am so pleased it's solid purple.
Front of the chair--
back of the chair.
If you know the names of the Irises or this Clematis please share.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today I am Thankful for the color that is showing up in my gardens.
Nice! It's crazy to think how far ahead everything is where you are. A cold snap has slowed us down lately. I can't wait to see the irises!
The pink iris is the one that smells like root beer? I was picturing a brown tone irirs with white. Like a root beer float!
Love the first picture of the broad view of your garden. Very beautiful with all the flowers and the rock placement. Envy all your iris! Your solid purple Clematis is stunning! I can see your red chair is being put a good use, and become a nice garden decor itself.
That 1st bearded Iris wouldn't fit in my garden's color scheme, but I'd love to have a rootbeer scented bloom. My Irises just smell like grape soda. I love, love, love the red chair with the blue Clem. That looks sort of like 'Ramona'.
Just an hour or so ago I saw Iris over at Tina's In the Garden and coming over to your blog, I am once again lovelorn with these beautiful blooms!
Darla, I am so happy I stopped. Your gardens are a breathe of fresh air, so full of color. Right now, white is the last color I want to see, with a couple of feet of snow still here and 5 below this morning.
The golden throats of your iris are fantastic and your chair full of clematis is wonderful. It is a Jack Mani Clematis., just like my brothers. Love it in the red chair.
you inspire me to get my accessories ready for my gardens. Thanks for the tour, and have a great week.
I love your rose-pink iris! I'm not an iris expert, just a geek, but if I see iris like those in my "studies" I'll let you know. So many iris come out every year that it can be difficult to ID them. If you post the pics on the Iris Gardenweb forum you will get very educated opinions and possibly even a match. They were able to ID the pink/ peach iris in my avator so that I could re-order one like it.
Your garden looks sooo pretty! After seeing Creeping Phlox on your blog a week or so ago I went and bought some to plant in front of our new fence by the sidewalk. Love the iris and Clematis!
Your rock edged pathway weaving through all those beautiful blooms is a great picture. The purple clematis is just the perfect color to climb the back of that red chair. Your iris blossoms are so full and frilly. Love it all.
Hi again, kiddo, and thanks for stopping by me. You asked about the whipped cream...the easiest homemade whipped cream, I'm afraid, comes right out of a box. I make it all the time and it tastes sooo fresh.
It's cheap too, 3 boxes for a buck of the Hospitality brand. I find it at the only grocery store in our town, the Super One store. Try it, You will love it. I found it in the pudding/jello aisle.
