Today I am Thankful for all of the well wishes about my poison ivy.
I did not receive an injection, the Dr. thought a prescription of steroids would be better to use as needed. The swelling is almost gone, the itchy scratchy continues....

Very nice, don't ya just love seeing all of the new stuff popping up?
Glad to hear your poison ivy problem is subsiding somewhat. Love the new header with all its mossiness. Have fun enjoying your awakening garden.
New growth = woo hoo!!
I was just looking at my hostas too! Everything is coming up nicely. You are a few days ahead of us. That Diamond Frost looks great with the cordyline (I think).
I'm glad you are getting better Darla. Looks like we are going to get some rain soon!
Nice! It's great to see those hostas coming alive!
Love your header! so pretty. I am glad that you are doing better. I hate that stuff. I also have to get a shot when I get it. And you used to do chicken scratch? Wow. I knew you and Vicki reminded me of each other. Your love for flowers and now knowing that you have done chicken scratch. Isn't it beautiful?
Beautiful! Everything looks ready to pop open! Isn't the anticipation fun?
Darla: Glad to know you are feeling a little better. Your garden surely is showing lots of new growths. That is very exciting! Happy Gardening!
Glad to know your poison ivy is somewhat better.
Those red petunias look so pretty in your pot and I cannot believe you have clematis buds. Not fair at all. LOL! Now are we going to have to put mittens on you to keep you from scratching that poison ivy? LOL! I hope it is feeling better now.
You have a beautiful garden, Darla. Are those canna lilies? Mine are popping up too....Christine
Looks like a lot is going on in your garden. My clematis has buds too.
Love that Header Darla.
beautiful shots too.
sorry to hear about the itchy bits, lol. Good news tho-to take pills. my friend.
(pop over to see my Header Post today)
Hope you keep feeling better.
Love that last photo. The contrast is awesome.
Darnit girl - I know you said that when you realized what you had come in contact with. Ouch! I haven't come in contact with it since I was a little girl. Having it then taught me to stay away from anywhere it might be. Glad you are getting better. Did you kill the plant?
Things are kickin in your gardens now. Pretty.
I'm green with envy over your green envy zinnia!
Sorry to hear your still itching - try some benedryl.
'hugs from afar'
Looks like spring! Hooray!
So sorry to hear that you had a run-in with poison ivy, but good to hear you are on the mend.
Sure hope the itchy scratchy is better. Love the flowers.
Oh Darla, I feel for you...having been a victim of poison ivy myself a few times. I had to go the steroid and prescription skin cream route, in any case, it is no fun. Your garden looks so beautiful! Mine is still covered with another 6" of fresh snow today.
Hope you feel better soon.
You are so far ahead of us! I was just looking at my Cosmos and Zinnia seeds and setting them aside for May or so when it should be warm enough to start them.
Hope you feel better soon!
Poison ivy is something I only read about in books. Hope you are ok. The green flower is very pretty and there so many many little white flowers, it looks like snowflakes on the green foliage.
Thanks for dropping by my blog!
You ahve lovely garden with beautiful flowers!
Hope you're getting better now!
Your plants are so far ahead of mine. That hosta is amazing. And buds on your clemmy! Sheesh girl. I'm not jealous, I'm not jealous, I'm not jealous... :)
Wow! The petunias look wonderful and so is the Zinnia - never seen a green one! Beautiful shots, there!
I know very well how you're feeling. Many years ago I weed wacked both my ankles while wacking away a bunch of weeds. Little did I know there was poison ivy in the weeds. That night I nearly passed out and was rushed to the hospital. Only to find out that the poison ivy was in my blood.. I was given the steriod pills as well... it helped it go away in just a couple days! I hope you're itch free soon.
The Dr gave me Steroids for the Hives I had last year! Itch was gone within hours and whelps disappeared overnight. Amazing medicine!
My Cordyline died out this year! I assume the extreme cold nights we had did it in. Or the Vole got to the roots, sigh...
Yep, spring has sprung, we are so lucky to live in Florida! Sorry to hear about your poison ivy, hope you are feeling better real soon.
Thanks for stopping by Darla - and yes, my kitties are always that sweet :-)
Darla: Spring has sprung in Florida, I hope you don't have anymore cold weather.
Ahhhh... so this is where Spring hides out. Lovely, Darla. I need to spend more time here. Thank you for all your sweet comments. You are a sweetheart.
I have been soooo busy that I haven't had a chance to see anything....I have been snooping around on here and am so jealous of your gardens! everything looks so nice!
