Darla, The grasses and the variety of colors look very nice in your late summer garden. I'm wondering what the insect is in your header photo. I've seen it in my garden too but haven't been able to get a photo. Hope your knee is getting better.
Blessings, Beth

So pretty. I just love how healthy and tropical canna leaves are to the eye! Your garden looks mighty happy. You must be getting a few rain showers in FL. Or like me and dragging the hose around all summer long...

So beautiful all the natural elements. My back yard is swarming with mosquitos so much so we can't enjoy our outdoors even after spraying. Banner year for these pesky bugs.

Everything looks so whimsical in these shots...I need to edit the few garden shots I got this week yet...I wish I could say it was cooling down here but alas it is still mid to hi 90's.

Blessings.

So many lovely plants, I really like the soft looseness of the planting and the way it all blends. Really nice garden.

Hi Darla, Yes---we'll all take a nice cool-down, won't we??? We are enjoying this cooler weather--although I'll bet it won't last. Darn it!

Gorgeous photos today.. Glad your Canna is trying to bloom.

Everything in your garden looks lush and green. We're starting to see a lot of brown up here because of the lack of rain.

That dark leaved canna is gorgeous, Darla. You'd never know you've had such a severe summer with how gorgeous your garden looks.

The plants are really loving their home this year. Love that shot of the canna leaf, you sure can grow those beauties. Everytime I plant them they look like they're anemic.

It's obvious you have a true gardener's touch.

Beautiful blooms Darla. My dark canna has never bloomed and it comes up every year. It is about 3 yrs old now. The yellow has bloomed every year since I planted it.

Hi Darla,
You have lots of lovelies there! I just looked back at your last comment to me, and saw you used the word, "lots" also. Well, we are both flower lovers, and like to have blooms all season. Yours, of course, is longer.

Great blooms Darla. I am a big fan of the dark leafed cannas, have a pinky/peachy colored one (or 6) and a red one that came back from last year. The pinky ones are on the bank along the lake and they really make a bold statement in bloom or not!
