i hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. we did with family, great food and fireworks.
i am still typing, taking photos and trying to do a little gardening with one hand, sigh. braces and bandages are suppose to come off tomorrow then i will find out exactly what they found and did to my elbow during surgery....
this weeks offerings are marigold

cosmos above and zinnia below
wagon
ornamental okra and purple coneflowers
althea--rose of sharon
hibiscus purchased for 4 dollars w/o a name. looks like painted lady thay did not return this year.
my husband surprised me with several new plants this weekend (will post them later this week) one is a jane cowell hibiscus which i love. i had one return for 2 years, this past winter was just too cold for her so he bought me another one.

Hi, Darla! It sounds like your surgery was a success and you're progressing nicely already! No need for pain meds is a great thing! I wish you a speedy recovery!
Your Tuesday blooms are beautiful, especially with the butterflies and bee. That's when you know your garden is truly a garden, in my opinion! Your hibiscus are beautiful! I'm always getting the names mixed up...and it seems impossible to research on my own as I always label any given bloom with the wrong name. Oh well!
Happy Tuesday!!

I planted more marigolds than I have growing but the lack of rain won't let them germinate. I just haven't had the time to water like I should. Yours sure look like they are doing their job of attracting pollinators!

Good luck at the doctor tomorrow - hope it's all good news. Spectacular pictures of your beautiful flowers with the butterflies. We have the yellow swallowtails here in New England but I've never seen the other two.

Gorgeous blooms this week Darla, and I love the butterflies you captured in these shots as well. That Ornamental Okra is quite eye catching with its' red center. Hope everything goes well tomorrow with your elbow. :)

Beautiful hibuscus. Your rose looks kinda orangey/red. It is beautiful. Lovely marigolds. I am a wimp sometime - I probably would have had a pain pill or two. Everything is beautiful Darla.

That's amazing Darla not to have to take any pain meds. Wish I didn't have to... Maybe my stomach wouldn't have gotten so upset. Oh Well!!!! Glad you are doing so well... Keep it up!!!!

Hi Darla,
I'm glad you aren't needing extra pain medication. Your husband is a sweetheart, knowing the names of plants you like and the ones you have lost.

I enjoyed seeing the lovely blooms and garden art you showed today. Oh, and the flying flowers are just as fun to see as the blooms.

I forgot to say how weird it is that at the end of your post, it said you have 5 comments. It still said it after I left my comment.

Now that I think of it, my number of comments wasn't changing on my latest post after I was refreshing the page this morning. I haven't been online much, though. I'm working on the room I'm determined to declutter. Please say a prayer for me when you read this, because it is very overwhelming and emotional. I am making progress, but am a lot slower than someone more organized would be. Of course, they wouldn't have the mess to begin with. I'm not the only one who has thrown stuff in there, though.

It doesn't seem like surgery has slowed you down much. I hope you aren't overdoing it :)
I love the Hibiscus. I started some from seed this year but they haven't done much. We are finally getting some hot weather here and I'm hoping that jump starts some of these slow seedlings.
