Support For A Fellow Blogger..

I have a couple of new plants from last week. See the tall skinny plant in front of the Coleus?

I am really excited about this Hibiscus.
I finally found some more Phlox. I have the delicious deep pink of the Nikki, now I have the White David and the Lavender Blue Boy.
I could not resist this ceramic tennis shoe planter for .25 at a new second hand store. New second hand store sounds funny...
**Guys and Dolls I am so sad to report that one of my gardening blogger buddies, Gina at http://antique-art-garden.blogspot.com in South Carolina received devastating news yesterday afternoon by phone. Her youngest daughter 21, was killed in an automobile accident. Please take a moment to drop by and leave your thoughts and prayers in her comments...This is one of those times when the news just takes my breath away.**

Today I am Thankful once again for bloggers and their compassion for other bloggers.

Nothing is much harder than losing a child, no matter what the age.

Such terrible terrible sad news for Ginger. Words can't express a person's sympathies in these times at all.

I have the lavender Blue Boy. It has been in the same location for several years. I suppose I should consider moving it or digging it up and adding some nutrients. But it blooms, full, and beautiful.

I like the hibiscus too.

Do you have a homemade recipe you would share with our readers? No, you don't have to be fat to share them.

Love your new babies there. Can't wait to see them grow up. What a cute planter too.

Oh, Darla, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's daughter.

I have David and Blue Boy. Love them both and neither has any disease or other problems. Of course your garden is different than mine but I thing you will love them.

Sad to loose a child, but Gina's faith is strong and God Will Guide Her.
Your shoe is cool.
Also, the phlox, of which I have 4 colors, smell so great in the evening mist. I have them under my window and the scent fills the room at night.

Hi Darla, Yes I was just at Gina's blog and saw that horrendous news. I can't even fathom her agony. She really needs God's touch.

Lord Baltimore reminds me of Lord Voldermort. LOL I insist you post a photo when he blooms. :)

I have 'David' phlox and it is a great plant. Interestingly when it was young I dug it up to move it to another location but apparently I didn't get all the roots and now the original area has a tall lovely stand of it. Since then I've come to realize that all phlox do this for me. No matter how deep I dig to get the root ball a small piece will remain in the soil and grow another plant. Needless to say I've got phlox everywhere. But I love it.

25 cents? Are you kidding me? I would have grabbed it too. Good eye!! Sounds like the new second hand store is going to be a winner!

Oh Darla, I went over to see Gina and leave her a few words. It is just devestating news. It sure makes you realize how you better love everyone while you have them. It has brought me to tears thinking about that. I pray she will be OK (Gina). Thanks for telling us so we could go by and leave her some words.
