Bloomin' Tuesday...

I am soooo tired!! Painted for 7 hours yesterday, am I finished? NO!! Going back to Lowes in a little bit. To join Bloomin' Tuesday or just to have a look see at what everyone else has blooming today click http://msgreenthumbjean.blogspot.com/

Sunflower
This is wild moss rose that just comes up here and there. I scooped some up and put it in a container. Resembles the Ice plant, but the leaves are too wide..I think.

Look out Patsy...your grapefruits are getting ready!!
Giant Liriope
Dragonfly on the Blue Black Salvia
I could not wait for the Firespike to fully bloom before I had to post it!
Celosia
Jane Cowell Hibiscus

I do hope that I can cut these Mums and they will bloom again in the fall like they are suppose to do!

Back to painting.......sigh....what was I thinking?

Blooms look nice Darla.

I know what you mean about painting. At first it sounds like a great idea but after a while you begin to wonder why you started it in the first place.

Oh Darla! Your blooms are so beautiful. Most of my flowers have been burnt to a crisp from the Phoenix sun. I miss seeing color. The only thing that has survived are my hibiscus,as they are thriving in this heat. My rose bushes keep trying, but the flowers are pretty much gone. I love looking at yours tho. Thanks for sharing them. I can't wait to see your project when you are through painting. Have a wonderful day honey. Country hugs, Sherry

Oh, I love that Hibiscus! All of your blooms are pretty. I feel your pain from the painting. I've done a lot of that in the past. You will recover! ♥ ♥ ♥

Hope your painting goes fast!! Do you cut your mums back? Someone told my mom to cut them back in August for a fall repeat. LOVE your Celosia. (I admit, I'm a little jealous you can grow citrus fruit!! Man on man, I would love to have a orange tree...)

Mums blooming already, you really are far ahead of us. I was just thinking I need to plant some when they start carrying them at the nursery.
Painting is a lot of work, but I'm sure it'll be worth it when you're finished.

My mums have bloomed all summer which is totally strange. I can't wait to see what you have been working on

Looks nice. Your Mums may not bloom again this late in the season. I know in KY you are suppose to pinch or cut back the plant if it is about to bloom before the 4th of July. It then as enough time to bloom again in September or October. I am not sure with down here. Mine bloomed in June and thne I cut them down and they are growing back. I suppose we may have blooms in November and December. I think they bloom in summer here because they just start growing again in the fall right after you cut them. Elsewhere they don't start growing until the spring months.

My mums have started too. The hibiscus is so gorgeous. Painting! Ugh! My hand does not cooperate with anything I try to do after holding a paint brush. I gave it up, didn't hurt my feelings too much though.

Look at the clumps of grapefruit! I didn't know how they grew, but that's loaded! It's amazing the tree can hold on to them.

Hi Darla~~ Ooh, that Celosia!!! Mine are finally setting buds. The hot weather has helped. If mine look half as wonderful as yours, I'll be happy. I'll post a photo soon.
