That is a neat set up to protect the caterpillars. I'm glad you are finding so many on you plants.
Sorry, can't ID your vine.

I know it's fun raising butterflies!!! Love the way you talk about your kids by sizes!!! I'm sure they are proud of the promotion!
How terrific that you have a butterfly house. They must be so interesting to watch. It is hard to believe school is starting already. Seems like the summer has flown.
I've never seen one of those butterfly cages before. That's a neat idea.
Sorry, but I don't know what that vine is either.
I'm very impressed with your butterfly house. I'll be interested in seeing pictures of the Monarchs.
The first day of high school and the first day of middle school. You should have some interesting conversations this evening.
Darla: Cute photos of the catterpillars.
Neat post, Darla. Your kids are all growing up, aren't they???? Love your caterpillars and soon to be butterflies.. It's so neat to watch them grow and change.
Have a great day--with an empty house today!!!!! Strange, huh?
Hugs,
Betsy
Love the caterpillar house for sure. And I need to watch for those sulfur cats as I think I may be um, well, we won't go there. Can't help on your vine.
Not a clue what the vine may be. But I love your butterfly and catapiller pictures! I noticed the pods on my butterfly weed are splitting open. Time to save seeds.
I can't wait to watch the butterflies, well caterpillars turn into butterflies
how neat to watch those caterpillars....hope all is well....and that you are enjoying your beautiful garden!
my gang goes back to school next week...so I have a few days to finish up the readying of them!
is your vine some sort of clematis?
They children grow up so quick.
I like the butterfly cage. It's been a very long time since I have seen one of those.
I think our kiddos go back tomorrow. I don't have any kids left at home--kinda sad.
Yes, she needs to be graduated to middle kid.
I think that is so sweet that you let the caterpillars mature inside. That sort of thing is a real blessing to watch. Goes right along with your personality.
It's wonderful to see butterflies and cats in the garden~~I'd given up hope at C&L. I like the butterfly protective cage...it will keep them safe from predators! The vine looks familiar but I'm blanking on it now. I remember having mixed feelings about back to school. I sure missed my kid but I also loved the free time! gail
You really are amazing! So are all the girls in school? I bet you miss your helpers.
Lucky you to have the caterpillars. It will be fun raising the Monarch's. You'll have to keep us posted.
School starts here next week. My little one is starting preschool the other in 6th grade. Time just goes by so quickly.
