Hi Darla,
Lovely flowers! I can hardly wait to have some here again.
The moon has certainly been lovely as you've captured. I'm just a little jealous of your blue skies.
A little spray paint and wow!

Beautiful new pots! A dianthus plant in my yard one year (after a frost)...up in Gainesville predicted my future marriage to my current husband!!! How...you may wonder...well it's a long story. LOL...but true!!!

Here, here, Darla. My kids are my greatest blessing. And their daddy ain't too bad either. LOL Nice photos. The moon shot is amazing. Looks more like a telescope than a camera shot. Interesting your Dianthus with its tri-color tendencies. EXCELLENT job with the spray paint. I use it too. It's the best tool for repurposing, don't you think?

Marites said...

Darla, your mono-macro flower pictures are beautiful. So is skywatch. How did you capture such a big moon? I can only get a dot in the whole rectangle of my camera frame.

The moon was so beautiful last night. I was out looking at it too. I love the re-do on your containers. I must make mine more colorful. I have to buy me some more containers this year but I also will be creating items for plant containers. Have a nice weekend Darla. I am starting me some flower seeds this weekend.

I like your moon picture, but I'm really impressed by the job you did on your containers. They look wonderful. It's also nice to see flowers in bloom at this time of the year.

I wish I could capture the moon that perfectly! I LOVE it.

Isn't it fun to see what you can do with a can of paint. They look wonderful Darla and cannot wait to see what you plant in them. Your dianthus is looking sharp too.

Do not bother using that expensive looking sandstone textures paint on pots. I did on one of my big pots and it looked good for awhile, just like a real stone pot. Now it is all peeling off. Maybe I did not treat the outside of my pot well enough before spraying it.

Oh Darla sweetie...
I love your Friday beauty shares. So beautiful. The moon photo is so awesome. It truly looks like you could reach up and pluck it right out of the sky. Your camera must be really something, as it sure does photograph well.

Love the look of your new containers. (They are new now) Isn't if fun to change them. You could even add hints of other colors on top for a little change when you tire of these. Just misting so to speak. I always buy a few cans when I am in the store, just to add to my collection. I never know when the mood may strike.

Thanks for sharing with me today. I have so enjoyed my visit.

Have a beautiful Friday sweetie. Country hugs and much love...Sherry

Darla your flowers look great and what a super job you did on those planters. I've done some of mine in the past and then went one step farther and speckled them with a contrasting color. Yours are sure nice and bright and cheerie. Great job!!!

Carla said...

So Pretty!! That moon is amazing, and thanks for the pic of the pots, I have the stuff, and now I just need a dry day to do it:)

Dirt Princess said...

I am in the same boat with you on the pots! Spray paint is the way to go. My problem now is the dog tears up plastic/foam pots! AHHHH!!! So I have to buy the ones he can't chew on or tear up! So aggrivating!

Don't listen to everybody, we all know it's not the camera, it's the photographer, who takes a great picture.
Great moon pic.

And a good pic of your brand new planters too, much nicer than the old 'blah' containers you got rid of. :-)

Thanks for visiting myblog.

Hi Darla,

Like you, slim pickings in Arizona, despite mild winters. But I think our slim pickings would be extremely welcome to our neighbors in the North. My violas are performing just great thought, like yours.
I absolutely love your idea about dressing up old pots. I will definitely be doing that.
