Skywatch Friday

Happy New Year everyone!!
I spent the entire day in bed yesterday. Haven't felt very good since the 28th, yeah my birthday. My husband said, " You turned 47 and everthing went down hill from there." Isn't he sweet? My sinuses are freaking out!! Eyes are streaming water, like I'm crying. Someone is playing the drums in my head, swimming in my ears and I think my teeth are going to burst out of my face!! Dayquil, Nyquil, Benadryl, Aspirin, Alka Seltzer, Nose Spray, Ice Pack....have I missed one?
I managed to sit on the front porch last night for about an hour for our annual front porch fireworks display. Uh huh, the noise and the smoke really helped me!

The clouds were moving so fast...we are in for some really cold temps this coming week.
Lows in the 20's maybe the teens...highs in the 40's......
a very slight chance of wintry precipitation...............!!! BUT still a chance..
This household would be over the top if we saw a snowflake or two...

I hope your New Year's Eve was a good and safe one. Here's looking forward to another wonderful year in blogland.....For more Sky photos go to http://skyley.blogspot.com

Aww man...I am so sorry your sinuses are messed up. I've been to the ER with a bad sinus infection before and it's the pits. Might be time for some abx? I hate taking abx, but sometimes it's the only thing that'll get rid of a sinus infection.

Impressed with your moon pics! I've yet to get a good one - I'm not so good with the camera in the dark...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! And hope you feel better soon.

Oh Darla, Sorry you are sick. Glad you did get to see the moon and the fireworks though. Your new camera is doing a GREAT job so far. LOVE the pictures!!!!

It's going to get really cold here too these next several days--but no snow here either... Sigh!

Happy New Year--and take care of yourself.
Hugs,
Betsy

You are a trouper to have made the trip outside for photos, which are wonderful, btw.

At 2:00 AM on Christmas morning I was hit with a virulent 24-hour stomach virus. Six days later and my stomach still not right, I fixed some homemade chicken noodle soup. You sound like you need a couple of bowls because we all know that homemade chicken soup cures almost everything. :D

Get well quick. Happy New Year.

Okay so here's the funny thing. My bd is right after yours and I too have been sick since. Not as serious sounding as yours but still not feeling good.

I have found some nice photos from 2007 and 2008 that I would like to use in my blogs but last night was a bad night for me and I didn't get much rest. Most of the time I had one coughing fit after another. I thought I would try to just say, "thanks" to those who stopped today. I appreciate the comments, visits and prayers. I hope things will get back to normal soon.

Oh, Darla you poor girl. Crazy weather getting to you?
Hope you get rid of that stuff real soon. Head colds or sinus infections are no fun at all.

The fire works pictures look so pretty against the black background. New Camera is working nicely.
Get better now you hear.

Nice pictures!! I didn't catch any fireworks at all - unless you count the popping and thumping noises coming through the walls. Me, three cats and the puppy were all piled up in the bedroom - the pup in his crate, the cats on my blanket - me still sick and the animals annoyed with the fireworks.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! (Deep South Dish) I am finally beginning to feel "slightly" better, so there's hope! Oddly enough my teeth were hurting too. What IS that???

Well, Happy New Year. I did manage to feel well enough to make my black eyed pea, cabbage, greens and cornbread.

Happy Belated Birthday! And hope you get to feeling better soon.

The moon was very awesome here aswell and those glads were racing past at such a fast speed. I was sitting outside watching fireworks, it was 30f, but felt like a balmy 11f, lol. Cold is upon us all into this new year. It looks ike the next two weeks our warmest may be to just get above 25 slightly one day. High's in the low 20's and low's in the low-teens and single digits, brr. Maybe some snow : )

Happy New Year!

Jake

Happy New Year ....

PS! I didn't know you had such low temperatures ... My husband and I planned to go to Naples to get some varm and sunny weather later this month, but changed plans and we are going to Dubai instead. Guess we made the right choice!? What's actually normal? Nice to know, because we like to go next year!

Hi Darla - Sorry you aren't feeling well - feel better soon!

I love your pics of the fireworks - I can never get them to come out at all!

My secret weapon when painting is papertowels and windex - so, yep, I go through tons of papertowels!

Thanks for visiting today and Happy New Year to you and your family!
