Fertilizer Friday

Time for FF over at http://tootsietime.blogspot.com

Garden photos in no paticular order.

White Profusion Butterfly Bush is about 7 feet tall.

Time to plant my Christmas Poinsettia, from this past Christmas in the ground.
Sedum in hubby's old work boots.
Pink Snapdragons are still hanging in there from last winter.
Creeping Jenny, Sedum and two grasses are busting out of the plastic wheelbarrow, time to do something different with them.
Homestead Verbena and BES Vine in the hanging container.
Decided to turn this wheelbarrow into a Sedum Container. It's metal and shallow so the watering needs of other plants were too demanding. This should work quite nicely.

Ragin' Cajun Ruellia
Hanging container of Red Sedum from Grace at http://gracepete.com thanks Grace! I have several containers of this now.
White Diamond Frost Euphorbia with Spider Zinnias.
And one of the Loofah Vines. There is a yellow metal chair to the right of the tree. It will soon be covered in Ivy hope to prune it to look like an Ivy Chair.

Today I am Thankful it's Friday!

Love the new header shot, how cool is that! ;) Your garden has just the right amount of whimsy like the boots which make me smile.

I visited a succulent greenhouse yesterday and came home with a box full, of course. Your boots, thanks for the clever idea, and if I can find it, there is an old blue wheelborrow on our rockpile somewhere. Thanks for the clever ideas, if I may borrow...your gardens inspire.
Have a great weekend

I love your white rock lined pathways.
And I think the wheelbarrow idea is a great one.

Haven't seen a white butterfly bush in our area. Yours is tall too. The Poinsettia is looking good. And the loofah vine on a tree. What a great idea.

It looks so pretty down the path. I've never seen a white Butterfly bush before, really pretty. I just noticed the first bloom on mine. The succulent wheelbarrow looks so good, love it!

The one thing I remember about my brother's yard was the huge Poinsettias they had planted in the yard... I love Poinsettias --but we certainly cannot grow them here.

Beautiful yard... Love what you do with old shoes and the wheebarrow and old mailbox... You are so creative.
Hugs,
Betsy

Darla your gardens are fantastic!!!Love the shoes with sedums. I have SO many sedums now and have been keeping my eye open for some shoes but can't find any 'ratty' enough. All the ones I've seen at garage sales are too nice. ;-) Did you know there is a chocolate Creeping Ginny? It is really pretty and I think you'd like it with your regular Ginny. I bought it last year and it didn't make it through the winter but I lost a lot of things and I think it was because we had record rain and then that really cold freeze. Again, your gardens are wonderful!

Hi Darla... your tête-à-tête makes me smile, too.

Planting your potted Christmas Poinsettias out in the garden... I do that as well!

Thanks for stopping in and identifying my Mezoo or however you spell it...I want one, but they were unavailable at the time.
Thanks again for inspiring me.
I planted my semps in a wooden box and the sedum by the garage temporarily.

Hmmm....interesting about the poinsettia. Most people throw them away after Xmas but you nurture them all year long. Love that!

Oh Darla, I want a path lined with rocks, and a bunch of muddy boots just like you have....

One day, when we get our farm.

But meanwhile, your garden looks so fun. And beautiful.

Hi Darla dear, The sedums look great! Thank you for the link. You're a real sweetie. Your gardens look wonderful. You'd never know your gardening efforts have been limited.

I've got a shallow wheelbarrow too and decided a few years ago to plant it with hens and chicks exclusively. Works great.

I hope your Sunday is stupendous.

Hi Darla! I want you to teach me this trick: you are just sitting in your comfortable chair, relaxing, and your gardens are flourishing! Your avatar creates this impression! Also, I love the blog's header picture!!! I'd like to know how it feels to have a butterfly sitting on the nose!
