GBBD!

Yesterday the small kid and I went to see Ms. Doris, three doors down. I never tire of being in her gardens. Once school resumes, I hope to have more time to spend with Ms. Doris. I am featuring a few blooms from her gardens for Garden Bloggers Bloom Day...To join and or see more blooms click http://maydreamsgardens.blogspot.com Thank you Carol for hosting this monthly meme.
Hibiscus--I love this color.
Just had to stick in two photos of Ms. Doris' paintings.....you would not believe how beautiful her paintings are..and her daughter, whom I never met apparently got the painting gene too!

Rudbeckia
Armadillo--yard art....think it will keep the real ones out of the garden?
I fell in love with this little chair planter with celosia in it.
These Chives were standing so tall and pretty.
I love, love Pinecone Lilies.......Ms. Doris you know I'll be back for one of these!
I have never smelled Butterfly Ginger until yesterday........all of you gardeners that rave about the delicious scent are right!
Pineapple Sage, Impatiens, Coleus and.....

Ms. Doris gave me a Snowball Bush, A Variegated Hydrangea, Skullcap and a Butterfly Ginger which I had to leave because it was raining and Small Kid wanted to walk home in the rain....Now, I need to get three doors down pick up my plants and return her umbrella!

Ms. Doris' garden is certainly worth the visit, even without the wonderful gifts she sent home with you. Her paintings are amazing; I can't draw a straight line, so I'm always so impressed by anyone with this kind of artistic talent.

I had that ginger once at my former home and it does smell so good. Someone shared their cutting with me and if I can find her---I'll get more.

Those paintings are very nice.

Beautiful! I've never seen a Pinecone Lily before and the armadillo is so cute. I enlarged the first shot of the paintings. I absolutely love that one of the bird with the pink background!

Neat garden! I've never seen nor heard of Pinecone Lily, it is so unusual looking. I'll have to take your word for the scent of Butterfly Ginger, but I can see that it is a lovely plant.

Wouldn't I love to see Mrs. Doris's garden too? I saw a little planter chair like that at a little thrift store in Altamonte springs on Saturday, but it had a wobbly leg. I love the pinecone ginger..well all gingers really. Her painting of that Echinacea is beautiful. I see that you have been keeping busy. You have some great projects there Darla.

Ms Doris' garden is so nice, but her painting are gorgeous. Liked the White Throated Sparrow, but then saw the iris, then saw the next photo with the other iris. They are all so good.
