The Weekend...

Finally----Sulphur Caterpillars!

and Monarchs!!!!

We have about 10 Monarch Caterpillars so far. We have four in our protective Butterfly Cage..
We have only raised Painted Ladies and that was mail order. So, we are very excited!!

Anyone have a clue as to what this vine might be? They are growing wild everywhere and I think they are interesting looking.

Put one Medium kid on the school bus....her first day in High School...now two more to take to Middle School...I guess my Small Kid has been promoted to a Medium Kid...her first day in Middle School..sigh. Maybe the Medium Kid in High School will be promoted to Big Kid status?

How terrific that you have a butterfly house. They must be so interesting to watch. It is hard to believe school is starting already. Seems like the summer has flown.

I've never seen one of those butterfly cages before. That's a neat idea.

Sorry, but I don't know what that vine is either.

I'm very impressed with your butterfly house. I'll be interested in seeing pictures of the Monarchs.
The first day of high school and the first day of middle school. You should have some interesting conversations this evening.

Have a great day--with an empty house today!!!!! Strange, huh?

Love the caterpillar house for sure. And I need to watch for those sulfur cats as I think I may be um, well, we won't go there. Can't help on your vine.

Not a clue what the vine may be. But I love your butterfly and catapiller pictures! I noticed the pods on my butterfly weed are splitting open. Time to save seeds.

I think our kiddos go back tomorrow. I don't have any kids left at home--kinda sad.

Yes, she needs to be graduated to middle kid.

I think that is so sweet that you let the caterpillars mature inside. That sort of thing is a real blessing to watch. Goes right along with your personality.

It's wonderful to see butterflies and cats in the garden~~I'd given up hope at C&L. I like the butterfly protective cage...it will keep them safe from predators! The vine looks familiar but I'm blanking on it now. I remember having mixed feelings about back to school. I sure missed my kid but I also loved the free time! gail
