Bloomin' Tuesday...

Thank you Jean at http://msgreenthumbjean.blogspot.com/ for hosting the weekly Bloomin' Tuesday...drop by and see what other gardener's having blooming today.

Some of the blooms happening around my gardens/yard are..
Peaches...

I love these flowers.
Petunias
The entire containers of Nemesia are opening...drives me nuts when just one side blooms.

Calendula-Apricot

Alyssum--I had these growing in several hanging containers last year. It dropped seed and is now popping up everywhere. I transplanted at least 70 or so over the weekend...
The Dogwoods are beginning to bloom just in time for Easter...perfect!
Columbine from Rain Gardener
Loropetulam
Another Ranunculus this is a very hot pink...soon a yellow one will be opening. Some of you have asked how these do year round here. I planted the banana shaped bulbs last October for the first time, so I'll be watching to see if they return. Let me just say, these have been the longest blooming flowers I have encountered in a long time. It seems the longer they stay on the stem the bigger they get!
With all of the flowers on the trees, shrubs and plants come the dreaded although very important pollen. A quick stroll through the yard and this is what my feet looked like.

Today I am very Thankful that the kids and I cleaned all of the windows yesterday!

Oh, by the way. I loved how you put "Darla, North Florida" when you signed up at Jean's. I like knowing immediately where the post is originating! I'll have to remember that!

Your Fringe Bush confirms my suspicions today! Funny you talk about the pollen; I have a post in the makings on pollen in our area as it is really bad with the pine trees. I hope the camera can capture the true depth of the stuff on my car this year, hee hee...

I am a fan of the Bluebirds but your Wren picture below take the award from me today! I love that picture posing on the fake birds heads! So sweet and I am still fussing at myself for not getting that mailbox at the Goodwill store the other day! Your gardens are really waking up now girl...

Today, I am thankful for the sounds, smells and warmth of spring….

I hear ya on the pollen. Everything here is green with the stuff. Beautiful ranuculus and wow - can't believe they are such good plants. I had some last year but they never came up - I'll try again. Love the butterfly on the blossoming peach tree.

Darla, I have had the hardest time lately loading your blog. So finally I figured out how to get to visit you, and here I am. Just another one of Bloggers little glitches that they like to drop on us.

Everything looks so fresh, so lovely. Ah butterflies, I envy you,

This the time of year I'm amazed at what you have blooming. Many of your flowers won't bloom here for months still. I can't believe you're seeing butterflies already too!
I saw Ranunculus yesterday and remembered why I haven't planted them, they are expensive here and don't return. Otherwise they are so tempting.

i can't wait to have the butterflies back around here.
i just planted my alyssum, purple and white. loving your ranunculus.
happy springtime.

Very nice blooms, this time of the year the pollen keeps inside most of the time. The peach tree is magnificent, we don’t have it down here.

Flip Flops in the garden - you are a gardener after my own heart, Darla :-) Your peach blossoms are just lovely and spectacular with the swallowtail butterfly. I can never seem to get a good photo of butterflies, but I keep trying :-)

Oh how much I love all of the color in your yard. I walked around our yard this morning --and found a little more color. Our Periwinkle Ground Cover is trying to bloom... Those are pretty little blue flowers. The Crocuses are almost gone --but the Daffodils are just getting started. Our dogwoods and redbuds and forsythia are just getting started... Everything is late up here this year.

Love your Alyssum.
Hugs,
Betsy

Darla:

This is my first time to visit your blog, don't know why I never crossed your blog before. I do frequently see you and I leaving commnents to the same post in other blogs.

Thought I will hop over to visit your garden today, and I am so glad I did! You have a beautiful garden, and lots of bloomings now. Hmm, I should try to grow Alyssum next time, love the self-seeding plants! I am especially intereted in Ranunculus. I have been trying to find the bulbs suited for florida weather. So please do let us know how it performs in your garden in long run.

I am located in south east of florida (Ft. lauderdale). And just started a new blog back in January to record my garden progress. I have been hooked since then. Welcome to stop by my garden anytime if you are interested at: http://sefloridagardenevolvement.blogspot.com/.

I added your blog to my blog roll list so that I can come to visit more often. Thanks for sharing the beautiful blooms!

Hi Darla Dear, Loropetalum, my sweet, sweet Loro! Yours is just delicious! And I can practically smell the sweet alysum.

Your feet look better than mine after a day in the garden. Usually mine are caked with mud.

Cute ring too.

Email forthcoming. I just finished watching today's taped episode.
