What a beauty of a clematis. I have trouble keeping them so Maybe, it's me. My sis and brother both have great success with them...go figure. We finally got another 1/32nds of an inch of rain late last night., then a bright waning moon. Have a Grand day.
Good morning Darla. I have tried several clematis on smaller trees here and none ever bloomed. I wonder if it is the difference in the light. In Florida, your light is probably stronger even in partial shade situations. Marnei
Darla, you're so sweet :) That does look just like the one blooming here. Thanks for posting the tag. It looks really pretty growing up in the tree. That's something I've always wanted to try doing.
Hi Darla Dear~~ I saw Catherine's post. I told her this Clem reminded me of C. sieboldii but no, it's Miss Bateman all right. And what a classy lady she is. Great idea having her frolic through the Myrtle. I've got a small flowered Clem wending its way up mine now.

In our climate it is always a joy that the clematis didn't freeze out. My two are alive again this year but they are sure slow to start.
Gotta love those clematis.

Seeing your lovely clematis bloom reminds me that I'm way past due for pruning my type III plants... thanks for the reminder! Larry
I want to adopt your tree idea,Darla. I'll let you know how it works out for us. :-)
Beautiful and I bet it is pretty in the tree.

Hi Darla, Love your Clematis... That is such a pretty color. Our Clematis is growing --but hasn't bloomed yet...
Enjoying the beach... Beautiful day today here!
How's Dad??? Did you convince him to change his mind???? I HOPE--and PRAY.
Hugs,
Betsy
Darla: Certainly adds some great color.
What a pretty clematis bloom!
I wish I had a clementis growing here but when I had planted them they failed to grow or died. So, like asters, I just gave up. Your's is very nice.
