Today

A few random garden shots I took this morning.
Dusty Miller and Alyssum
Part of the border of the Full Sun Garden
Clematis in a Dogwood Tree
How did I get a solid pink on this Clematis on the lattice?
Larkspur is beginning to bloom. In the back that big plant is Monarda.
Soon, very soon I will have big beautiful Dahlias!
Ragin Cajun Ruellia
Across the drive is the Full Sun Garden
Cosmos with Snapdragons in the background
More Cosmos in front of the Sheffield Mums, left is the Mexican Bush Sage, Alyssum and in the container are Carnations started from seed.

Today I take my Dad to his first follow up visit from his hospital stay...and today I am Thankful that he is letting me take him!

Nice! I still need to get cosmos planted. I have some in pots and others I do from seed. I'm glad I waited or the seed would have just washed away.

Darla your gardens look so pretty! Love the determination of your hubbie wanting to grill. Sometimes you just got to do it no matter what.

Your dad is still in my prayers. Glad he is going for a follow up and that you are taking him. I love the full view of your gardens. They are so inspiring. Love the cosmos. Hope my larkspur does something this year. You have so much color already. Can't wait to see your dahlias.

Good luck today with your Dad.

Such lovely flowers!...it tries my patience, as my dahlias are just peeking out of the soil (in pots) and wont go out in the garden for a month or so...

Your garden looks so beautiful! I envy that you can grow dahlias! Are those dinner-plate size? Hmm, I wonder if I should at least try next year in my zone 10 garden. Do you think it could survive? I do see some claims they can be grown in zone 10. That Dusty Miller leave looks very nice. Love the texture of the leaves.

It's just looking so pretty in your garden. I love that Clematis in the Dogwood. I'm anxious for it to warm up so I can work in my garden soon.
Great header pic!

I love the gravel in your gardens. Very pretty blooms, maybe that solid Clemmie is another plant? Weird. :) Thanks for sending me another Walking Iris, you're the best. :)

I was planning on skipping on the dahlias this year so that I have room for more milkweed and other things, and on cosmos, because they take forever to bloom for me, and sometimes get leggy. After seeing yours, I may have to find a spot for them.

Your other blooms and foliage are looking nice and colorful, too. I wonder what's up with that clematis.

Hi Darla, I really like...well, I like all your photos but the soft pink cosmos photos are my favorites. From afar, I'm anticipating your dahlia blossom. Looks like a stunner.
