For those of you not familiar with the Adventures of Bilbo.. Dirt Princess over at http://northmobilegardensociety.blogspot.com started a game called 'Where in the World is Bilbo?' Bilbo is a cute little gold garden gnome. Dirt Princess is trying to see how many places in the world that Bilbo can visit in six months. Bilbo is on his way here to my gardens from England. I am waiting -not- so patiently for his arrival. I have followed Bilbo all over the world since the beginning of his adventures. Keep checking back for his arrival and a chance to have him visit your neck of the woods. For more information about his travels click on Dirt Princess link and check out her side bar!!
Fishing Guy--I think of you everytime I see a Buckeye Butterfly!

Hi Darla, my grandson is much better today and has no fever. The doc said it is viral, and NOT the flu. Yay! Hopefully he hasn't passed it on to his little sister. Thanks for worrying!
That Dahlia is beautiful!!!
crikey Darla, 5.24am, you were up early. Bilbo keeping you awake at night :o)
Your blooms are gorgeous as always Darla. I'm in love with the Mexican Bush Sage. I saw it at the Botanical Gardens last week and it's on my wishlist. :)
Love the butterfly photo. I'll have to watch for Diamond Dust next spring. It's really pretty as is the Mexican sage.

The Bilbo watch sounds exciting!!! What pretty blooms:) I had no idea Euphorbia got that big either:)
That 'Diamond Frost' kicks butt! I also like your Mexican sage. Mine is slowly blooming but no where as big.
Your fall flowers are beautiful. You're very lucky to have such a large variety. We can grow some of them here, but not all. It would be nice if I could have such a wide range of choices!

Darla: Oh how I want to get a Buckeye Butterfly in my lens. You would think they would come to the Buckeye Tree.
Your flowers are looking wonderful.
Hi Darla~~ I'm wondering if this white Hibiscus is the seed that you sent me which is still in my seed box. Beautiful.
I rescued a 'Diamond Frost' from Home Depot's sale aisle for $1.00. It wasn't looking all that great but water and fresh soil and voila--good as new. It isn't hardy here but for now I'm enjoying it. I wonder if it will bloom indefinitely for you. Time will tell...
I hope bilbo gets there soon....I wonder if he will ever put his woolies on and head to Canada!
Love the butterfly - is he watching you? Your dahlia's are gorgeous. Hopefully Bilbo will arrive soon. Have a great day.
can't wait to see Bilbo in your beautiful garden! I really like that Mexican sage bush too!
Darla, you have such beautiful flowers! It really shows that you have been working hard! I want to see Bilbo, too.
Hi Darla! Thank you for stopping by my blog.
Yor flowers are still so beautiful. Most of my flowers are really fading due to the weather change. That butterfly is so awesome. Great picture!
Is it spring all the time there? The flowers are wonderful. Bilbo? I can't wait to hear more.
Beautiful butterfly shot! I don't think you ever have to go to the archives! Gorgeous color! Jean
Hard to believe it's really fall. It's in the upper 80's today which is quite a bit warmer than usual this time of year.
You've still got so many pretty flowers in bloom. I guess you must have some of them for most of the year.
Can't wait to see Bilbo in your garden, I know you've been chasing him around the world :)
How exciting to have Bilbo show up at your garden...He will have a riot of a time with you and hanging out in your beautiful garden. Btw, great butterfly capture! gail
Hi Girlie, How was your day????? Oh how I'm lovin' our new DVR.... No more stupid commercials.... Yeah!!!!! And I'm taping stuff which I want to see. Wonder when in this lifetime I can find time to watch it alll????? ha ha
Your Fall flowers/plants are gorgeous. You found some great ones. I especially like hearing that that one is frost-proof. I need that one!!!!
Hugs,

Hi Darla!!
Thanks for visiting. I like your blog too!! You really seem to know your plants. It's great to have a love like this.
You mentioned our clematis. My husband planted a white plant on one side of the arbor and a blue/purple plant on the other and I am sorry to say he did not keep the tags or remember the names. Although the white looks like jasmine, it has no smell.
Hope you enjoyed your visit, Darla. Have a wonderful week!
xoxo
