Fertilizer Friday - Early

I am going to be out and about most of tomorrow, Friday, so I am posting FF early. Hope Tootsie over at http://tootsietime.blogspot.com/ the gracious and ever busy host doesn't suspend me for posting early. Drop by her blog for more FF participants and to see the amazing projects and gardening she is always doing.

My mixed bag of Crocus has finally shown all the colors on the package..the gold ones are mushy from all of the rain the last two days, they are not shown here.

Dianthus--First Love
Breadseed Poppies from Catherine over at http://agardenerinprogress.blogspot.com/ who also has beautiful flowers and garden pond.
Carnation seeds have germinated -direct sown in the garden two weeks ago.
Miniature Azalea
First ever Iris bud after Dirt Princess instructed me on how to plant them correctly.
Ole' Standby's this time of the year.
I have been working on my rock garden...it's a lot of work actually.
Newly acquired Chocolate Ball Sedum. You have to have the right background color for it to show it's beautiful chocolate/green colors, I need more white.
I show my bird feeder that really isn't from time to time...Coral Reef and Angelina Sedum.
Coral Reef again in a strawberry planter...I had my husband break the votive candle holder out of the middle of this hanging bird cage and planted Angelina Sedum in it. It will be trailing out of the cage before long.
Our beautiful Pear Tree.
The Squirrels have been at it again...........sigh

Your crocus is beautiful too. Mine just bloomed so I'll have to snap some photos before they leave me.

Hi Darla~~ It's always nice when our teens actually WANT us to go with them, isn't it? I hope the trip is/was a complete success and enjoyable too. I'm really loving your sedums. I need to check on my Coral Reef. Last year I was very impressed with its demeanor. Like a sedated creeping Jenny.

Those pesky squirrels. I walked around this afternoon in my backyard and saw so many little holes where they have been digging.

Hope you enjoy your day tomorrow.

Oh those pesty squirrels. We love em but sometimes they are such a pain. Love the purple crocus.

Can't wait to see the sedum area fill in. I absolutely love the Coral Reef. My poppies don't look like that.

Have a great time tomorrow. I loved the field trips with mine kids.

I was so captivated with your story until the end. Those darn squirrels will mess up anything! Stinkers.... Am happy your teenager still wants mom around, which is a big thing for a mother...

Today I am grateful that spring is officially one day away...

Beautiful, Darla. Gardeners like you give me hope that spring will come.

WoW! Your flowers look great! I had a chipmunk make a mess in some of my starter plants and I got it all on the camera and did a post. It was so much fun watching him I didn't really mind the bit of a mess he made flinging my flowers everywhere!!! :-) Have fun tomorrow.

I love all the Crocus! This is my first year with them, and I love them.
Your poppy seedlings are bigger than the ones that self sowed here last fall. Yours will be blooming before you know it!
Your rock garden and sedums look really nice too!
Have fun on the field trip!

Argh, those pesky squirrels! I love your birdfeeder planter with the sedums. And that chocolate sedum too. I shouldn't forget the crocuses - it seems no other flower has quite the purple that a crocus does.

Oh those naughty and sneaky squirrels! They can be so destructive~
I wanted to urge you to plant a garden bench and build your garden around it...You work hard and deserve a good spot to sit in and enjoy the fruits of your labor...gail

I like that chocolate ball sedum. I have never seen that before and it does show up great in your rock garden.
I bet you have enjoyed your pear tree. I have been admiring the ones that are blooming here in Austin.
Hope you had a great field trip and when a 14 year old boy wants his mom to join that is wonderful!

Oooh, that Coral Reef sedum is WONDERFUL! I'll have to look for that.
I'm sorry you had those darn squirrels wreaking havoc with your pots. Would you like to borrow a few of our cats? They seem to keep ours at a distance.

Those crocus are beautiful!
And that plant in the strawberry planter is cool.
I'm curious to know how you plant your iris'. Just to know if I'm doing it correctly.
Hope you had a great time on the field trip.
