Ever wonder why the lining of your hanging containers disappear?
The gardens are busy, busy this morning.
Mrs. Eastern Bluebird...
Mrs. House Wren
Plants are waking up pushing through the soil and setting buds.
Cornflower
African Daisy
Nasturtium
Nicotinia
Dinner Plate Dahlia
Cosmos
Firespike
Poppies, Purple Coneflowers, Alyssum, Vinca, Milkweed, Cornflowers and plenty other surprises I'm sure.
Looking up the hill from the center of the garden. The clump of green to the right of the plate is the Hotlips Salvia. To my surprise it stayed green all winter.
Petunias, Iris, Daylilies, Society Garlic
Verbena aka "Miss Prissy" around here is starting to put on a show.
I started these Snapdragons from seed many, many months ago...the hard freezes shut down the buds. Finally they are beginning to form and open.
Today I am Thankful for the Lord blessing my labor...

Good morning Darla. The birds are loving your garden. The wren looks like she is just warning not to come near.LOL! Hope you do not want to change anything in the mailbox.
Your tulips looks so pretty. I like the striped one. Everything is growing so well.
You are blessed indeed! Love the bird accommodations :)
Spring is such a reminder of the transitions of life. I cant wait to see the summer pics of your gardens... it has to be beautiful!
Happy Spring Darla! it looks like you are enjoying its beginning.
We had a beautiful day yesterday for gardening (now I can barely walk, lol), but today's rain will allow me to recuperate. We put up a bluebird house last month in hopes of enticing one to be here; so far, not even a 'looker'.
Have a wonderful and blessed week.
Superb picture... love the Bluebird in flight, and the House Wren is stunning.. all this and flowers as well... excellent posting my Head Banging friend ;o)
Looks like everything is coming up very nicely. Nice gardens!
What a great series of photos! I can't wait for my yard to get more wildlife. Now I'm gonna have to go and build some birdhouses.
Cheers,
E
Pretty flowers and wonderful to see all those seedlings! But my favorite picture here has to be the wren in the mailbox -- that is just the sweetest thing!
It is going to be summer at your place soon.
Patsy
Thanks for sharing all of the spring photos. The birds are really busy. Our robins are back and our cardinals are singing territorial calls. My son call last night and said he and his wife were in Florida for a few days for a work conference. I said yes, I have two Florida, blogger friends and I will keep and eye on you through them.
Another great post and flowers Darla.
Yep. He's definitely blessing your labor. Last year my 'Hot Lips' died down but came back. I think it's pretty tough.
I love your flora and fauna. The birds are adorable. What a privilege to play host to them.
Such a beautiful time of year... all the new life budding out. Those birdies are enjoying your little places for them to hide and nest. Love it!

Beautiful Darla. You are getting the rewards of your hard work.
Love the birdies & their places.
How fun that the birds are nesting in your yard again. I remember you had Bluebirds last year. I've been watching birds in our yard and I think there is a least one pair building a nest.
Glad to see you have so many plants coming up. I love Spring!
Hi Darla, Looks like your bluebirds are taking up housekeeping!!!! I'm so excited for you... Soon you will have some baby bluebirds around !!!!!
That Carolina Wren looks like he has found a nesting place also... Neat!!!!
Have a great week.
Lugs,
Betsy
Those little birdies have been pretty busy, huh?
isn't it the greatest when the world is waking up again after such a long winter. your place looks alive...so exciting.
happy springtime.
Your labor has certainly been blessed!! Love the Wren standing in the mail box. New nests have been built in both of our bluebird boxes. I think one of them was built by the Chickadees. That was the last bird I saw sticking his head out. Haven't seen the Nuthatches anymore.
Your garden is definitely a hub of activity! I love your bird photos especially - especially the one in the mailbox. I can't wait to see your flower seedlings bloom later this spring :-)
Aahh! I see the Spring is waking up all the babies in your garden to enjoy his warmth. Nice colors in your garden. The birdhouse looks sweet.
I hope the little house wren leave the bluebirds alone!
Your garden is coming along so beautifully. I'm seeing more green emerging here.
Marnie

You have some cute bird places!
Hi Darla-
What great photos-how did you manage the pictures of the birds?
I loved trhe last sentence of your blog.
Amen.

Everything is looking beautiful your way! You have swallowtails, too! I'm so excited it's spring!
Again, I forgot to say something. I love that photo of the bird on the heads of the decoration birds.
Definitely getting colorful at your neck of the woods.
