Fertilizer Friday

It's time to Flaunt those flowers over at http://tootsietime.blogspot.com/ .. A few photos from my Dad's place of some of the plants that my Mom grew when she was alive.
This is the way back of the property. Look how large this Golden Lantana was last year? It's going to be bigger this year. See the white dots behind my Dad and to the left of the Lantana?
Hundreds of Volunteer Daisies, I talked him into leaving them alone until they die down.
This is a Banana Shrub...some shrub huh? These shrubs smell wonderfully when in bloom.
A pink climbing Rose, weeds and all.. I scooped up some of this one for myself.
I love this climbing Rose on the side of the deck. I have some of this one too and it's doing fine in a container from last year. It will be going in the ground this weekend though.
Now remember, if God doesn't water my Dad's plants they don't get watered! Well established and thrives on neglect I suppose.

Today our 9th grader is taking her AP Exam in Geography, if she passes she will earn a college credit...feel free to send a prayer her way...thanks.

Wow, look at that huge clump of lantana! I enjoyed the roses and such, too.

I just said prayers for your dad and daughter.

Oh, is your city really called Flowerville? My eyes landed on that in your profile, after I clicked on your name in your comment on my last post. What a fun name for a town for a gardener! Your flowers are a wonderful asset to the place.

Looks like the plants have found a great home surviving on their own and looking so beautiful. I had no idea lantana could get that big. I grew some in a 12 inch pot one summer. Good to hear about your dad and I'll bet your daughter does great on the test.

My Dad had a melanoma removed from just under his eye. They were able to do it in the doctor's office.

Love his roses.

Excellent views of a great looking garden.. by the time that grass get cuts they'd be no time left for watering... apart from partaking in a beer or two.

Hi Darla, Great picture of your Dad. How is he feeling? What is the next step for him--when it comes to his health?

Love the 'family' home... Isn't it great to still see the evidence of your mother there ---and the things in the yard which she loved???? You must have gotten your love of gardening from your Mom.

Mom and Dad Adams' yard still looks nice despite the neglect that it gets these days. All of their beautiful flowers just keep coming back despite it all!!!!!! People mow for them--but that is about all that gets done these days.

Hugs,
Betsy
