Fertilizer Friday at Tootsie's!!

Just a few garden shots for Fertilizer Friday over at http://tootsietime.blogspot.com/

Morning Glory
Black Eyed Susan Vine
Hot Lips Salvia-----see the lips?
I have been waiting on this Autumn Bloomer. Salvia leucantha Mexican Bush Sage
Isn't it beautiful?
My combo container that my husband bought for me after I shouted, "Bring me a surprise!" is doing quite well.
This is what I will be caring back and forth to the oldest medium kid's room today....waiting on the nurse to phone me back..........

Have a safe and HEALTHY weekend..........
Update!!
Back from the Doctor's Office...they say it's the Swine Flu...here's the strange part...they do not test for it. The Health Dept. does an area survey thingy of what's happening in your area and then you if have the symptoms they label you with that virus....it is very early in our area for the seasonal flu...so, I guess we will call it the "Swine Flu" for lack of a better term. You know 'they' want to be in the news and receive federal funding. I am NOT making light of this by any means. I just don't freak out that easily. It lasts 3 to 5 days and is very contagious. The Doctor and I discussed in length how normal healthy people very rarely have adverse problems with this virus. It is usually people with underlining health issues or comprimised immune systems. Now I am bleaching her bed linens and pajamas, spraying the house with lysol and praying. I will treat this illness as I do all illnesses.......Stay clean! (You can still keep us in your prayers)

I hope it's not the flu Darla! They sent a letter home with my grandson that there was a confirmed case of H1N1 at Canopy Oaks and my daughter said there have been several confirmed cases at Godby. I work around students all day at FSU, so I have been disinfecting my hands several times a day! Take care!

Love that blackeyed susan vine.

I hope everyone in the family doesn't come down with the flu now. What a mess that would be. Good luck and hope you stay well.

Thanks for the update Darla! Sounds like you are taking all the right precautions. One of my co-workers has been sick all week and she's at the doctor today. Her husband is sick too. I think I'll go wash my hands again right now!

I certainly hope that your oldest medium kid does not have swine flu, but it's probably a good thing that you are taking alll those precautions. We certainly will keep all of you in our prayers.
Thanks for all the beautiful flowers. I was not aware of a black eyed susan vine.

I love the Mexican bush sage, it is really pretty.
Hope your daughter gets over the flu quickly and no one else catches it. It seems like as soon as school is back in session they all get sick. I'm with you on how you feel about the flu. I was a nurse for many years and don't freak out too easily about these things either. If more people washed their hands that alone would cut down on all sorts of things spreading. We're still getting our flu shots though :)
I have poppy or columbine seeds I'd love to share with you. Let me know if you want any.

I hope she gets to feeling better soon Darla. The regular flu and swine flu is going around here too. I just got back from getting my flu shot. My hubbie teaches school and there are lots of kids sick there.

I'm sorry to hear about the sickness, Darla. You seem to have the right attitude and things well under control. Hot Lips is appropriately named.

About the child--I do hope for a quick recovery. I am afraid it is going to be a strange flu year. I do the same things that you do...clean everything!! And wash my hands.
For the flowers--your morning glory is so pretty. My mexican sage has not done a thing this year. If I get one bloom I'll be lucky. Take care!

Oh I hope your kid feels better soon. It's not fun being ill especially when school has just started. That Mexican Bush Sage is really pretty, worth the wait. My White Blackeyed Susan vine is doing better than the yellow one.

Darla, I am sorry your child is ill! The flu is uncomfortable. They've been warning us that school kids are at risk for spreading the flu...yikes, I never thought about how to keep it from spreading at home. Your flowers really are lovely...gail

Your Hot Lips Salvia are very HOT. Luv them.

Ooohh...how I hate hearing this about your oldest medium kid having swine flu. May I ask how old he/she is? Is it more contagious than "regular" flu? I hope your child recovers quickly and that nobody else in the family gets it.

Love the Hot Lips Salvia!

Sorry your daughter is sick, poor thing. Hope you all don't get it. My friends two kids got it but the parents didn't, so maybe you won't either.

Her son has asthma (like I do) and other than a trip to the hospital for a treatment he did fine.

Oh I hope she feels better soon. Tell her to rest, rest and rest. You all are in my prayers.

I am hoping that it passes quickly and gently!

Oh boy! Swine flu has been so wide spread here in Florida. My boys were home sick yesterday - so far no fevers so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I hope you are all ok. Keep us posted!
