To Satisfy Betsy....

Apparently Ms. Betsy over at http://betsyfromtennessee.blogspot.com was not impressed with the 7 things about me post yesterday. So this one is for you Ms. Betsy..

1. I was a gymnast for 12 years.
2. I did trampoline exibitions in Atlanta, GA and Chicago ILL. where I met all of the world famous atheletes that endorsed anything that had to do with athletics. I had to go because I endorsed round trampolines and jogging tramps by doing T.V. commercials for the company.
3. I have the coolest photo of me and Tony Dorsett! (O.J. was there, Roger Staubach.......)
4. I was Miss Teen Sunburst of Leon County in 1980.
5. I found my biological father at age 18. (have brothers I have never met)
6. I was widowed at age 24 with two small children.
7. I had a home burn down from lightning in the 90's.
**and lots more good and bad in between. Would not change a thing that has happened good or bad....because these things have made me the person I am today. BLESSED BY THE BEST!

Well we are embracing our inner Hippie around here!! LOL Made these yesterday and my girls LOVE them.

They also have silver sparkles on them!

Have a TERRIFIC THURSDAY!! ( I am)

That's a lot of fun doing the t-shirts. Yours look cool.

Wow - you did some TV ads for trampolines. I agree with you about the things good or bad that happen to mold the person we are today. I too am blessed.

Great post Darla.

Those are neat shirts you made for/with your daughters. I'm glad they like them. I'm also happy now that I know 14 things about you that I didn't know before.

Well, I read your post and found that you are one of those who has walked the plant in this life and I would guess you are done with it by now. And, that means the rest of the journey should be smooth sailing all the way home. I would imagine your rewards are stacked up waiting on you.

Do you use wax on your T-shirts? What you did are all nice ones.

Every visitor counts, big time...

WOW-this is my first time to your blog and I am spell bound by your list. Intriques with the widowed you being widowed at such a young age. I love learning about people and what molds them into who they are.
Concerning the Follower issue. I am not an expert by any means. This all started because a lot of my followers were unreachable. Then I asked a new follower to look at my picture-SHOCK-I was a silhouette and my blog name wasn't on there, it was my personal name. I searched and searched. By Sunday I posted asking for help--Here is that post Click here. 2 days after that post I posted another so if you start with that one and then keep reading up to tidays post it shouls help you. If you need more help please don't hesitate to ask.
I'm going to click follow and hope you do the same.

Hi Darla~~ My youngest daughter would kill for the peace T-shirt. I'm going to show her your photo. You've led a very interesting life. I was tagged by AliceA @ Bay Area... but I am so lousy at this sort of thing. I hope you don't tire of me singing the praises of the Celosia but if you are, too bad. :) I'm wholeheartedly impressed with this plant. It doesn't demand a lot of water yet seems to love the heat. The plumes are coming on now and starting to open. The colors are fabulous and the plant adds an eye-catching structure to my borders. Love it.

While I didn't make tie-dyed shirts, I have an inner hippie too, and she is indulged regularly. Somehow I never outgrew the 70's! I still have long, crinkly skirts, tunic tops, long dangly earrings, and wear beaded sandals. I'll never grow up!

That was so much better. Now know things we did not already know about you.

Darla,
The tees are great and look like great fun to make. I just had to back down to this post even though I am late seeing it... wanted to tell you how fun it was to read more about you in both lists. You've had a more than interesting life.

I am supposed to be doing one of these 7 things and it is SO HARD to bring myself to it. Maybe today while I'm in the garden I can think of 7 that won't bore my readers to death. LOL
Have a great Saturday!
